Oversharing feels vulgar to me now. I know we've been fooled into thinking it's okay to show dick pics and that the Kardashians' behavior is normal, but it's not. I've tuned out in the last couple years. Everybody's got a fucking opinion. It takes courage to put something out creatively into the world, and then to see it get trampled on by cunts? It's destructive.
"It takes courage to put something out creatively into the world, and then to see it get trampled on by cunts?"
Creatively.
Creatively.
Trampled on.
Trampled.
On.
Pretty sure he was talking about anything creative he may do. And the criticism that may follow.
In fact, I'm struggling to see how he could be talking about social media with regard to that sentence. Unless he does, like, really creative status updates on Facebook, or something.
Actually, if that's the case, I have as much right to criticise it as he does to put it out there.
Sounds like a whiny little bitch. Go back on the drugs, Trent. You fucking suck now.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.

For the record, it's plainly obvious from my review that I do not like this record.
I was actually referring more to the former portion of the statement regarding over-sharing of daily routine, but couldn't be fucked paraphrasing just because he was meshing two difference ideas and trains of thought there, from my perspective. That matched with the fact that on a lower tier, I can appreciate the latter portion being a bit of a closet art creature myself and until recently, not really being comfortable sharing what I'd previously considered to be a private space for my own peace of mind.
If you do, however, take that much issue with his sentiments, please, by all means, make a very real effort to do something more creative, useful and meaningful to yourself (possibly outside of posting on a forum) and share it with someone, or several others for a first time and share your thoughts when they all tell you to, "get the fuck out, you're full of shit". It takes a thick skin, time and experience to build up enough self confidence to truly not give a shit what others think, especially from an introspective point of view and not just in a facade of an attitude of the on-line version of yourself.

I'm very aware of that, and have been dealing with such sentiments and criticism since I was fourteen.
But I don't fucking bitch about it in a fucking magazine like THA PRINCE OF GOTHY DARKNESS DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNN.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.
You put a like button on this god damn shit I'll rip your knee off and shit down your femur.

I was about to post that behind the scenes festival vid- I love that kind of stuff. They're supposed to release a part 2 of it later this year in regards to the arena tour.
Hope they get this tour recorded properly/aka Blu Ray at a minimum. I'm sure Trent's still pissed off that the '08 Lights In The Sky tour wasn't filmed (for various reasons). Being on a label again would solve that issue.

not sure on any of that lights comment personally unless you're referring to professional vid. That ThisOneIsOnUs release has some decent quality stuff on it (video and sound)

Yeah, I'm referring to professionally shot video similar to 'Beside You In Time'. As good as the TOIOU project was, fans simply don't have access to certain camera angles that the band can have if they choose to record it.
The band's 90-minute set featured hard rock anthems, songs with techno influences as well as groovy and eerie jams. NIN closed the night with a slow and smoky cover of Johnny Cash's "Hurt," which earned nonstop cheers from the crowd. Reznor was soft as he sang the song's verses — making it the set's highlight.
