Puscifer is almost worth it just to see Carina strut around on stage for 90 minutes. They are excellent live though, much better than APC were a few years back.

Yeah, Puscifer were a lot of fun live when I saw them.

Puscifer was a "fun" show the one time I saw them. But then they ruined it in between the comedy acts by playing music.

Yeah. I'm going to go see them in Portland in November if not at monster mash. I expect it to pretty good. The musicians in puscifer are top notch.

I've decided to stop thinking of Tool as a band. I think of them as a "musical project" that now convenes to make interesting music when they can. This way I don't get pissed off when it takes them a decade to release something. Instead, I occasionally read up on whatever nonsense Blair throws out to the public, read the ensuing interpretations, and laugh at how silly it all is. I guess I see that the members of Tool have such a wicked sense of humor about the whole thing (and their relationship with their fans), so why not join in?

Puscifer are great live. I'm not a huge fan of their albums (Conditions had some great stuff) but live it all seems to work really well. Maynard seems much more into it as well. He spoke a lot more freely and really seemed to enjoy himself. Carina is total babe town. I'd recommend checking them out if you get a chance.

Tool won't be going back in the studio until after the Puscifer tour, if I am informed correctly.

My new guess date of the new album release is September -October 2016

Would it surprise anyone to find out that all they've finished after nearly 6 years of writing/arranging is around 20 minutes of crappy riffs and some squiggly synth noise?

Cos it sure the hell wouldn't surprise me. This band has completely lost its mojo. They're not even pretending to give a shit anymore.

Blankets anyone?

I'd be surprised if all they had was 20 minutes of squiggly synth noise. I'm not surprised that people continue to make assumptions about the bands mojo and how much they give a fuck.

I think we can almost all agree the blankets are uninspired and overpriced, yet it appears they keep selling. I hope all these deep pocketed Tool fans are around when I get those Fourtheye shirts setup.

Tool will release some really great stuff eventually. I wouldn't worry about it so much because there's nothing you can really do about it. But Danny and Justin have been lying about a sooner or soonish release for a while now. That is kinda crappy, but If they just truthfully said it was going to be 10 years we would all just stop checking in with them regularly. Maybe.

Thing is, when they were asked they have every intention of getting it done. That's not lying. Laziness sure, but I'm not sure they acted deliberately to mislead.

I told my wife weeks ago I'd mow the lawn sometime soon. It still hasn't been done. I had every intention on mowing it so it wasn't a lie as such, I was just lazy. The lawn is getting mowed this weekend FYI.

Do you ever mow the lawn wearing board shorts and nothing else? Cos that's how I pictured it.

Nah, that seems a recipe for getting hurt. I at least like to cover most of my body while mowing.

There's one guy in my neighborhood, an older guy, who wears a speedo when he mows the lawn.

I'd say that you lied to your wife. And then you rationalized it into just being lazy. But, it is a little different than just out right lying. You didn't say that you mowed the lawn and it just grew really fast. It's more so, breaking a commitment or not following through. Really, you are lying to yourself about your intention. I would guess the guys in tool probably knew that it was going to be awhile and lied on purpose, so we wouldn't freak out all at once. I mean Justin said in 08 it was going to be out sooner than usual. He had to know better if it's taken this long, but maybe not. Either way, I can still ramble about tool stuff on 4th eye. RIP tdn. lol.
