I think Lena Dunham is one of the grossest unfunny morons to ever live on this beautiful Earth.

Holy shit Lena Horne is an actual person.
There's a scene in Seinfeld where Kramer tells Jerry he looks like her. Thing is, earlier in the series Kramer dated a woman that has the same name and I thought he meant her. This was in the episode where George dates a woman who looks exactly like Jerry, making me think it was part of the joke.
Of course, this Horne doesn't look old enough to have been referenced in Seinfeld so I may be talking out of my ass here.

True Detective was fucking amazing
"I think human consciousness is a tragic misstep in human evolution. We became too self aware, nature created an aspect of nature separate from itself. We are creatures that should not exist, by natural law. We are things that labor under the illusion of having a self, a secretion of sensory experience and feeling, programmed with total assurance that we are each somebody, when in fact everybody's nobody. I think the honorable thing for our species to do is deny our programming, stop reproducing, walk hand in hand into extinction, one last midnight, brothers and sisters opting out of a raw deal."

It takes a good actor to make that shit not sound like some stoned college kid rambling. Doubly impressive when said actor is previously known for that sort of a vibe.

I keep sleeping on Dallas Buyers Club. I trust your movie opinions and am going to finally give it a spin. the Wolf Of Wall Street was good, not great. still haven't seen American Hustle yet. did you see that?

Yep, you'll enjoy both but for me Dallas Buyers Club blew it out of the water, brings the feels.

And I have no feeling to see 12 years as a slave even though I love Steve McQueen, I think I'm racist.

I actually watched it half an hour after posting that.
Very powerful film, I can't say a bad word about it.
Trying very hard not to say white guilt the movie, because what happened probably did.
Fuck.

There's a pretty decent doco on SBS2 in Oz on time if anyone's interested.
Not sure how much longer it has to go.
It easily explained why there's no reason for time to go "both" ways, so it's pretty accessible.
