Bottom line, if the album doesn't come out in 2014 I am done with Tool.  I am over their bullshit.  I will still listen to their prior albums from time to time, but I will never attend another concert nor will I purchase the new album if it ends up getting released in 2015.  I don't care if ends up being Lateralus level good.  Not going to support this kind of amateur hour lazy smoke and mirrors bullshit.  Done.

My stance, at this point, is that I am personally tired of the bullshit.  If the album isn't out by the end of next year I am done with Tool.  If you don't buy that, don't believe it, don't agree with it, so be it.  Makes zero difference to me on any level.  You really should have figured that out a very long time ago.

If it somehow makes you feel better to think I will buy any new music from Tool regardless of time frame then so be it.  The majority of the time you and I are fucking with each other here.  In this I am completely serious.  My respect for Tool is about as low as it can get at this point.  I won't give them a fucking cent if it takes them another two years to finish the album.  Done.

Reading those snippets from Justin's interview, sounds to me like they're struggling to find the right riffs to have the album sound as good as they want it to be.. I wouldn't call that lazy.. To those criticizing, haven't you ever struggled to solve a puzzle & walked away from it, only to come back with fresh eyes & solve it straight away? Music's really no different. They're rich, they're not pissed off kids, these things can take time, at least for some individuals anyway.. 

 

In the mean time, if they wanna make cash grab tours, I'll happily fork out my hard earned to check it out, coz I dig the fuck out of live music & these guys are pretty shit hot at what they do...

Doesn't take 8 years dude.  Here is the thing I don't get Busty, why are you worried about people criticizing the band?  I could understand if the threads were getting junked up, and I admit I contributed to that.  But here, in this thread, why would it bother you?  I am sick of Tool and I am not the only one.  But there are people here I like and threads I enjoy posting in.  Until I can find a better general music forum than FE, I am going to continue to chill here.  Enjoy your Tool.

Defensive?  Not in the slightest.  Baffled, absolutely.  I have known Busty for some time.  I get his position.  We don't agree.  Not much to debate.  Most of us who post regularly in the Grudge don't really debate about anything.  This is the fuck Tool thread, in case you missed it.  I know you confuse easily.
