The last Radiohead album I bought/enjoyed was Hail To The Thief.
That was 13 years ago and to be honest I've only vaguely (if at all) been keeping up with what they've been up to since. I haven't even heard the last two albums.
May grab a copy of the new one when it hits but there are too many other things coming out in the next month or two for me to get excited over this. The new Nurse With Wound for a start....

If you haven't listened to In Rainbows, the album that came out after HTTT, then you might want to take a listen at some point. It's a great album.

In Rainbows is fucking amazing, in my opinion. Another opinion of mine: King Of Limbs is the worst Radiohead album (still OK, just kind of a tossed off album).

I pretty much agree. I will say that their live show "From the Basement" for KoL do the songs quite a bit of justice. The KoL record just falls flat and is too short of an album. I got the same feeling from that album that I did from 10K Days. The second half of KoL is still pretty steller though. I hope they continue with another From the Basement recording for LP9.
In Rainbows
OK Computer
Kid A
The Bends
Hail to the Thief
Amnesiac
King of Limbs
Pablo Honey

Jonny Greenwood is all over both new tracks, not to mention Spectre.

As usual I disagree with Califum. Second track was pretty meh.

Smoked a nice bowl last night and watched both videos on the YouTube app thru Apple TV. Got it hooked up to my sound system and it sounded beautiful. Watched Daydreaming first and Thom walking threw all those doors kind of got me anxious, hahaha. The song was so good that it helped my anxiety go away. Really liked both of the songs and stoked for the album to come out tomorrow. Pablo Honey would have to me my least favorite of their albums but King of Limbs is a very close second. I rarely listen to KoL's anymore and listen to Hail to the Thief and In Rainbows the most. The B-sides of In Rainbows is really killer as well. Ok Computer and Amnesiac get there fair of listens as well and are very good albums as well.
I am so stoked to finally see them live on Aug. 8. My friends are coming out from Utah to see the LA show. I couldn't even get them to come out to my wedding 5 years ago in San Diego and I gave them a 8 months heads up. Happy Radiohead is getting those hermits out of their Utah caverns. I just found out I don't own The Bends, buying now!

Lucky! I am hoping they do a full US Tour later this year so I can see them in Colorado. Those IR B-sides are all quality songs. I was jamming to that today, actually. The Bends was the first record that truly stuck with me in high school. I can actually remember where I was over the past 20 years for each Radiohead release. Not too many bands I can say that for.

And it's out everywhere now.
Remember when they released In Rainbows for a pay-what-you-want scheme?
The new album costs at least $13 USD for a digital download and that's if you just get MP3 files. CD quality WAV costs fucking $16 and if you want 24 bit it'll cost you $19.

This shit better be good.

Spent most of Saturday arvo checking out their back catalogue (hey...my girlfriend is away overseas and I was bored) online.
At least, the ones I hadn't yet heard.
I probably shouldn't have....bothered.
Pablo Honey - 1.5 / 5
The Bends - 1.8 / 5
OK Computer - 2.8 / 5
Some Baloney About Rainbows Or Something - 2 / 5
Forget What It's Called But It's The Last One Before This New One - 1.7 / 5

Well ol' Lucifer must be wearing a jacket right now cause I (sort of) agree with two Cal Jay posts in a row.
I don't necessarily think Radiohead sucks, but they're kinda just there for me. I just don't get it and if I haven't gotten it by now I'm not getting it ever.
Radiohead: eh/10

I actually like Amnesiac and Hail To The Thief. Radiohead are ok....there's just so many (unheard of by most people) "experimental" bands that do that sort of thing so much better. Like Gastor Del Sol for instance.

I have been sick all day with the flu, but I just gave the album a first listen. I'm digging this album a lot. Very folky Radiohead. I'm loving the choir and orchestral pieces that J Greenwood has added to the texture of the songs. I'm loving Decks Dark and Ful Stop! Shit, every song is pretty dope. I'm going to give it a good thorough listen once my fever breaks and I can take it all in. Overall, I'm very happy with this album.

Looking forward to giving this one a listen sometime in June when the CD becomes available.

If ordering the CD directly from the band (with the $10 shipping fee) included an instant MP3 download I'd do it.
