What are you PLAYING?
Re: What are you PLAYING??
Not to be that guy but I totally will be, if I was playing fallout 3 stoned entering Vault 106 I would have flipped my shit, I basically did sober.
Enjoying it thus far, but it's so fucking easy compared to New Vegas.
God dman it Dogmeat, I wanna throw some frags, get the fuck out of the way!

Re: What are you PLAYING??
I've been playing the Starbound beta the last couple of days. First impressions are pretty good, though I think the variety in it's world generation could be a bit better (I expect/hope this will improve as the beta progresses).
For those who don't know anything about the game, it's developed by a bunch of guys involved in Terraria, so is quite similar in format. It attempts to mix things up by randomly generating planets for you, with changing life forms, fauna, etc. Anyone who liked Terraria will probably enjoy this game. It's not as polished as Terraria is right now, and Terraria generates a much more interesting world, albeit with less variety.
If anyone is after a copy, I have a spare available from the 4-pack I purchased on Steam the other day. US$11 for whoever wants it (price of a single copy is $15).

Re: What are you PLAYING??
Got an invite to Hearthstone the other day (a World of Warcraft based online card game). Seems like good fun so far. Anyone else playing it?

Re: What are you PLAYING??
The first episode of The Wolf Among Us was free on Xbox Live today, so I just played through that. I really dug it.
I've only played the first episode of The Walking Dead, but comparing the two I'd say I think The Wolf Among Us is better or at least more interesting.

Bully: Scholarship Edition is $4 on Xbox right now. So I bought that today. If you haven't played it yet, I highly recommend checking it out. It's very close to being the best game Rockstar ever made.

Re: What are you PLAYING??
An outsiders perspective:
I played grand theft auto 5, I believe, over the holiday. Never played any of it before so it was interesting. I was visiting family and my nephew
has all things video game nowadays. He was house sitting so after family chillin', we went back to the crib and got fucking tore UP - woo! - On gta: I found it fascinating all that work and preparation goes into that game and there's no objective, really. It's hilarious. Now, for the record, I did enjoy playing damn much. But the game itself is pointless to me. HA! Fun as hell but pointless. Incredible. All it is is "let's kill some people and blow some shit up and kill some cops and steal some money and build cars then go wreck the fuck out of them while trying to kill people without leaving witnesses whilst trying to make jumps and shit which are impossible without wrecking your souped-up El purple fucking Camino."
Crazy.
My niffle was playing some Doom, as well, but I didn't participate.
Oh,
We also went old school? and played Mortal Combat.
Good times good times.

Honest Game Trailers: "SKYRIM"
I've been entertaining the idea of ignoring all of the unplayed games in my Steam Library in favour of playing "SKYRIM" again ever since I smashed through "FALLOUT NEW VEGAS" last week.
I don't know why I even pretend to be finished with that game.

Re: What are you PLAYING??
Is M'aiq The Liar invincible? I just FUS ROH DAHd him off a cliff into a waterfall and then on to what I was sure were some pretty sharp rocks.
I dived in after him and caught up to him in the shallow water. He gets right up and starts telling me that other people call him a liar, and that I shouldn't believe them.
I've never tried to kill him before, because I try to be a Nice Guy in my games, but now he's got me thinkin':
M'aiq The Liar is God.
It's implied that each M'aiq is a descendant of the previous one in the four games that he's in starting with "MORROWIND". But it's far more likely that he's God, wandering the world, keeping an eye on things, and sharing useless false wisdom like a computerised one-person TOOL. He's pretty much the only character that appears in more than one game, and he serves absolutely no purpose to any mission.
Ergo: God.

Re: What are you PLAYING??
I was able to bet on a cock fight in 'Sleeping Dogs' today.
Don't know how the censors missed that.
Oh and I won, I sure know how to pick a cock.

Why would censors want to pick up on a cock fight in a computer game? Not Tyson wrote:I was able to bet on a cock fight in 'Sleeping Dogs' today.

I kill animals, children, you name it given any opportunity in any game.

Animal rights activists were up in arms when you had to stab a rat in Battlefield 3. Nobody gives a shit what animal rights activists have to say about video games.

I think most animal rights activists do the same thing I do: Use games to unleash the unholy love of murder we keep bottled up inside. Not Tyson wrote:Eh I just though animal rights activists would be up in arms.
Due to the fact that we're all more smug than an atheist wearing a fedora at a Neil deGrasse Tyson signing for a new foreword he did for a Carl Sagan republish.
