"World football" or soccer for the ignoramuses is the world sport. It has taken over the world well and truly before you were even born. It's called football for a reason, you know - they actually use just their feet and not their hands. AFL should get rid of the F and replace it with a V. It is volleyball on a larger pitch with forks and an egg. If you or the rest of the AFL supporters (all 50 of them) on this planet..I mean Victoria don't like it, then tough titties!
Live with these facts:
3.5 billion people watch world football
The World Cup is the most watched sporting event in the world
35, 000 AFL and Rugby on a good day in the backwaters of Australia and England
How many people rocked up for the friendly against Liverpool in Melbourne a couple of months ago?
90,000 people on any given day for an Exhibition match. A figure that AFL or Rugby could only dream of. All this talk by some that "this is our game" is just an excuse that nobody gives 2 shits about it. An example being their attempts at playing international exhibition games in South Africa and China. Now that was a success!
Embrace the World game and check the stats, blockhead.

Not trying to argue worldwide popularity. Pointing out that soccer is popular is like saying the world is round.
The point I was trying to make is that for decades now it's been touted as the next big thing in Australia, and so far, it's yet to deliver.

It will never deliver here and FIFA unfortunately don't give a shit about Australia and never will. It's a distant planet far far away. The market is too small and saturated with crazy leagues. Not worth their time. They're filthy rich and corrupt as it is in the places that matter.

The Colts looked like garbage last night! How do you beat the Seahawks and Niners and fail to even score a touchdown against the Chargers??

Lions are 4-2 thus far. If we can get healthy by the end of the year we could go all the way to the big show

The Lions beating the Bears is the best thing ever. Let's hope it happens again in a few weeks.

The greatest Texas Ranger of all, Nolan Ryan, has retired as President of the team.

Lions,
who are goin' to the Big Show this year whilst representin' the NFC
are going to murder, rape, pillage, and otherwise
tackle
some Cincy-nasty ass this Sunday.
I say 'tackle' with a bit of sarcasm as it seems the Lions can't even
'execute' a normal function of the game without being penalized.
