No. I was just hoping it would be "good".

It's about as "good" as anything they've released in the last 15 years I thought. Â I think we can all acknowledge they're not as good as their first couple of albums, and haven't been for a long long time.

Can you be anymore of a 90's boy? You can't be fucking serious, they evolved into a serious band instead of trying to impersonate themselves album after album, geez

Alright: well, I rarely listen to anything you fucking idiots post, because it's usually shit; but I've been a huge PEARL JAM fan for a while, so I felt the need to both listen and comment.
It's not bad. Still got the intensity, which is pretty hot. Sounds really tired, though. Short and hard riffs from aging rockers is your first sign of a band running out of ideas.
Literally anything would be better than "YIELD" and anything that came after it, so I'm on board.
Thanks for the share.
PS: Whoever said it sounds like it comes from "VITALOGY" needs to listen to that album again. At least just to stop embarrassing yourself.

While I agree for the most part, they've still had their place. It may not be a place that I'm into, but it's still a place.

I didn't mind it either.
PJ are today's equivalent of AC DC where all the songs sound the same. However, this is quite a good track...

They can evolve as much as they like, I have no problems with that at all. Â I don't buy into them being more serious though.Â
For what it's worth I thought their last album was pretty good and am looking forward to the new one. Â No need to get upset about my opinion on PJ - I am a fan, and will continue to be a fan. Â No harm with acknowledging their older stuff is better than their new stuff. Â It's not like there's no other band in the world that this doesn't also apply to...

Karnivools new one 'Asymmetry drops next week & they just announced they're releasing a deluxe edition which includes a bonus 90 minute live dvd which please me.Â
First single, The Refusal didn't do much for me at all, 2nd single 'Who we are' was an improvement but hardly mind blowing. Interested to see what the rest of the album holds. Here's a clip from the upcoming DVD.

^ Nirvana doesn't belong on that list, clearly. Â What a joke.
Top 4... OK. Â As for the rest, there are so many bad '90's bands, I find it hard to believe some of those wouldn't take precedence, but who gives a flying fuck.
These lists are usually pathetic, so no surprises.

BUSH and NIRVANA?
LOL, yeah, I'll get upset at that when I start taking that stupid magazine seriously again.
Seriously, the last decent issue was back when I was 15.

And considering their age and talent, HANSON doesn't belong on that list, either.
As with most things, that list is just a reflection of popularity.
And popular opinion usually blows.

Burzum keeping it real:
According to multiple French news outlets, Varg Vikernes was arrested  by the Central Directorate of Interior Intelligence (DCRI) earlier today at his farm in in Corrèze, France. Vikernes is suspected of planning a “massacre†and being “likely to prepare a large-scale act of terrorism,†say authorities.
The arrest came after his wife, a French national, legally purchased four rifles. Vikernes’ home was subsequently searched for additional weapons, as well as explosives; it has not yet been revealed whether or not any contraband was found on the premises.
The “origin of the investigation,†according to the DCRI, was the fact that  Vikernes was one of 530 people to receive a manifesto from Anders Behring Breivik. Breivik is right-wing extremist responsible for two attacks in Norway in July of 2011, which left seventy-seven people dead. He was sentenced to twenty-one years in prison for terrorism last August, but is said to have sent a copy of his manifesto to Vikernes.

I'll have to check this out later. That video you posted the other day was pretty interesting and I like Bryan Beller.
