In case you didn't read about it on all the metal magazine websites, the band had to cancel that fan's backyard barbecue/live performance YESTERDAY (JULY 3) because the kid had to seek emergency medical treatment the day before after blowing off part of his thumbs (yes, plural) while holding a lit firecracker (squib?) too damn long. Maybe the backyard gig will happen next year... if he learns his lesson and keeps his pyrotechnic endeavors limited to bang snaps! In the meantime, I hope all of you have a great and safe 4TH OF JULY with or without poppy seeds on your burger bun.

Well, at least we know who that lucky fan was: Jason Pierre-Paul.

Just a stoned and drunk thought, but since it's been so long since the last album if they have one track ready to roll I think it would be really cool to release that as a single and play something new in Arizona. Just the radio track of the album and to give us a taste and get people drooling for more.

Sounds about right, just hoping the random is 1. Right in two 2. The patient but more likely 3. sober, don't expect any "new" material but at least a kick ass time with TooL and primus! See you down in Arizona bay!

....hell Rosetta stoned would be a nice touch for Halloween personally a eulogy, H, jimmy song are on my wish list... but hence why it's a "wish" list...

Oh yeah they'll probably play Rossetta stoned and intention/right in two. Possibly pushit or the patient. They may even open with third eye. But there will be no new music until it's released. I would not bet even 5 dollars on a completely new song. They may jam out on some stuff, which would be sweet. But I personally just want to hear flood and third eye again. I've given up on them ever playing stuff like H and Eulogy. Or the epic DRT. And Wings is never going to happen again. I remember have a near OBE to that song live with Adam towering over me., the blue eyes spiraling behind him. It felt so welcoming and sharing of them during Wings. A totally different atmosphere. I have recurring tinnitus from that show. I would rather never hear sober or schism again for the rest of my life. Live or otherwise.

its likely an old piece he made... i highly doubt he drew them last weekend for the gallery coming up. He just went into his collection and picked these out for the show. In that case i dont think its 'recycled images'..

EDIT: upon second look they do say 2015 on them. So they are newer than i thought. oh well.... i think were being to harsh, a GUITARIST is showing some art, lets not get picky about what the art is or whether or not its an overused image.... now if they new album is released and he is recycling riffs, then i think we should complain.

Not necessarily. I doubt he dates and signs all of his sketches especially when they are designs for t-shirts and posters.

It's possible he just added the signature to some old sketches.

The pieces are from 2012. Totally forgot he did a poster for Primus.

One might argue that even that 2012 poster was rehashed at that point in time. "Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh" or "Aaaaaaaaarrrgh"

It would be cool if he did all the art on the upcoming album.

I'd rather Adam sticks to video - that's where his artistic talent really shines for me. I'd almost rather Alex Grey did the cover art than Adam.

People complain about Alex art but I think it fits tool pretty well. He could easily do a new original piece for tool

The complaints about Alex Grey have more to do with the fact that it'd be the same artist 3 albums in a row. I've rarely seen anyone criticize the artwork on Lateralus or 10K Days.

Korin Jones is doing the artwork...joking aside, it will be interesting I'm sure in which ever direction they take even if it's Alex again, who knows maybe a collaboration
