Hey Cal, what is this album? I've seen it posted around the place.

You'd be proud of me BTW, been listening to a lot of Burzum recently.

But right now,

It is the soundtrack to Harmony "Spring Breakers" Korine's 1998 original freakfest, Gummo.

Full of black metal/art noise/sludge rock goodness.

Please be a good son and check it the fuck out (both the film and the soundtrack).

Also....keep listening to Burzum. It will make you less of a sissy boy.

When Gummo came out, I rented it on a whim as an indie flick, as I tended to do... fuck was it not one of the weirdest fucking things ever at the time

For those that like this kind of thing, here's the new Karnivool track The Refusal:

One of their better efforts I'll admit. Vocals still shit me.

Used to hate his vocals & one day wound up loving them..

yeah, Josh isn't a fantastic singer, but what he lacks in voice he more than makes up for in delivery, wit and attitude.

anyways... I'm on a couple day Dillinger kick cause the new album is fucking awesome!

It's pretty rare that happens for me.  I can't think of many bands that I didn't just like straight away, especially those with vocals that rub me the wrong way.
