I was only 15 at the time, and I really didn't give a fuck about anyone so I told him to suck it. Luckily I saw the rest of the show. I am now fully aware of concert etiquette.

just do what I do, instead of obstructing someones view at a Tool show get everyone behind you to stand the fuck up. shit works. especially because when they start to play live my friend says I look like I'm on acid. people are more inclined to listen to a mad man, I guess.

next topic...are we getting The Grudge or D/R/T this tour?
or perhaps some NEW material?? although it would be highly uncharacteristic of them to play new songs before an album drops. only time i can remember that happening in past 15 (20?) years was the "10,000 days pt. 1" jam at long beach 2002 show.

i agree new material is unlikely... however for some reason i think this tour will be different, not the same ol cash grab, i have a feeling it will have some new elements

I think I've said this a bunch of times before, but from what I hear it will be either Failure and/or Yob. Nothing has been confirmed officially though.

Haha. Typical Tool, 2 weeks till the first show and no announcement of who the opening band is. I honestly have enjoyed every opener that they have toured with so I don't care who it is. Even Melt Banana I liked.

Wow. I can NOT say the same.
Hoping we get another "Evening with Tool". Although I would show up for Yob.

We let's see here, I saw Massive Attack played before them at Coachella, Isis, Trans Am, Melt Banana, Tweak Bird, and Wovenhand at Red Rocks. I think the only band I really didn't care for was Tweak Bird at the 2009 Salt Lake show. Not only was the opening band not that great in my opinion that was Tools worst setlist I have ever seen. The whole 2009 tour was shit. So I counted and figured out that I have seen them 9 times and it will be 11 after this tour since 2006. Every time I saw them in Vegas (4 times) there has never been an opener.
Unfortunately I really started to like Tool in high school radio class in 2002. So they came to the small Mormon city of Orem, Ut (where I grew up) durning the Lateralus tour in 02 and none of my Mormon friends wanted to go because they said that Tool worshiped the devil. Hahaha. So I had to wait till 2006 to finally get my live Tool fix. Fuck I don't miss Utah at all!

My classic phrase is, "Utah is a beautiful place filled with ugly people." Now your going to say that the women in Utah are gorgeous!!! Yes they are but ugly inside. Holier than thou cunts.
Most of all my family still live there and they are the Mormon exception, haha.

Best bands I've seen open for them are Intronaut and Meshuggah.

While I don't really agree with their religious beliefs, most Mormons I've meet have been pretty nice people. Personally Utah would be right at the top of my places to visit in the US, mostly for reasons basejumper posted.

This is what Mormon's worry about.
I have been all over Southern Utah and I would say Zion's and Moab are my favorite places in Utah.

Anyone think we will get a TOOL announcement for Bonnaroo this year? The announcement comes tonight at 9PM EST.
Rumored headliners are Elton John, Kanye West, and Jack White.
I hope tool isnt announced, because i dont really want to go this year, but this would make me go

Arches National Park (Moab) Utah is, by far, one of the most spectacular, mesmerizing places in the U.S.
Possibly...........................................................the whole universe, including every single parallel dimension and/or plane of existence.
