I get that. First person GTA has always been a dream of mine, so that's a big selling point. My 360 is fucked so I can't play my copy now anyways. Even if my 360 did still work I'd probably have to buy a new copy anyways since mine would freeze within like 30 minutes of starting it up.

Didn't GTA III have a first person mode?

I think you could go into first person to aim certain weapons but I don't think you could play the game in first person.

Metal Gear Solid: on how the community rages on a bikini clad warrior.

Also: with GTA I prefer the top down view from the very first GTA. That game was at least funny.
/dislike for first person shooters and or new gta styled games/

All of the GTA's a pretty funny to varying degrees. I've played and enjoyed all of them, not sure which one I'd call my favorite, though I am partial to GTA2.

If you still have it you might wanna recheck that. I could've sworn I played it like that.

Nah, UKE was right: First person purely for looking around, not moving.

"SAN ANDREAS" is the money shot. I have it on my phone, and don't give it the attention it deserves. It's so full of nostalgia.

San Andreas is when the series lost me. Granted I had a lot of other shit going on in my life.

Wait, my mind is full of fuck, released in 2005 for Xbox?

That doesn't match up to anything in my timeline, at fucking all.

Why isn't there a kickstarter for a HD version of Maniac Mansion?

Heresy I say!

Day of the Tentacle HD remake (and then Maniac Mansion HD hidden within the game, just like the original DotT). 8-)

But imagine if Ron Gilbert would start a kickstarter for the real Monkey Island 3. Kickstarter would explode.

Ron Gilbert seems to be happier creating new stuff, which I can respect.

Maniac Mansion, DotT and Monkey Island were all great, so I'd be down for HD remakes of any of those.

According his grumpy gamer blog Gilbert would in an ideal situarion make a new Monkey Island. Heck, he even contacted Disney on the possibilty on making the game or buying the Monkey Island IP.

Kickstarter game pledges have shown a drastic decline this year.

It's disappointing but not unexpected. I predicted this back in 2012. Hopefully it turns around, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't.

Doesn't surprise me either, but it's worth noting that there are many more "Early Access" games on Steam these days.

That may be true but at almost $56 million raised, these guys seem to be doing fine on their own.

Anybody played the p.t. for the new silent hill?
On youtube you can see some fun videos. They should've make it work with occulus rift and then post videos of people playing it... lolz
