I'd rather have shitty answers than no answers.

Would you?

When it comes to answers, maybe.

Pancakes? No thanks. I'll go hungry...

Is that true?

In the past couple of months Blair/the band seems to be making a legit attempt to keep us more or less in the loop.

I think he'll give real answers.

I think his "answers" will just raise more questions.

I think they are certainly good ideas for newsletters. Its fun, gets us thinking, gets us guessing, get us wondering, and gets us hopeful. Got to give Blair credit here. He is at least trying to give us something, and something new thats entertaining. What else can we ask for when there is clearly not much to report, except for, their writing. Im sure the answers wont be flat out what you want. But im sure we will take away at least something of a clever new thought. Theres about three questions about the new album right? So im sure we might get a small something. In the end thats all i want. The rest is just interesting tidbits, and i believe its a clever and read worthy newsletter.

Yea, it was an interesting read compared to the months of shit he's given us recently. But, it's Blair, I'm sure it will be cryptic/anagram answers. To be honest, I don't have my hopes up for the next newsletter. With that type of mentality, I can't be let down, right?

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I really think Tool is giving us some sort of Salival type of release before the new album drops. Sure, it's for no good reason and is just a hunch...actually, I got an uncle who gave me a lead...

All his other weird newsletters did this for me, meh. Pleasing a tool fan is like trying to please a heroin addict with a toke of a joint.

What's the lead? Sounds pretty improbable to me. Why would they work on a live album when their in the middle of another album? Doesn't add up. Would be cool though.

I dont think it would be very tough for them to get together another Salival type release.

A new cover or two, some live tracks (which they've said they have plenty), and a couple of previously unreleased tracks (Problem 8, if its even real) and they're good to go.

Don't think it would take much time away from work on the new album and for all we know they've already done it.

At the most it would probably take like a month or so to put it together, and a release like that would probably hold fans over for a couple of months. So it would be worth it.

Because it would make them money.

Isn't that what a lot of you think is the reason they're still together? With their "cash grab" tours and high priced re-release?
