KISS OF DEATH! It is quite likely this will be nowhere near their best offering whether or not an artist should feel this way or not, they should NOT EVER, I repeat, NOT EVER say this about their work.

It is a redundant statement - if you don't feel like your new album is your best work then you should probably give it away...

New Swans album in May. Titled To be Kind, it's apparently a doozy - 2 hours plus, just like the last album was:
Yes. Hopefully though there will be no more 30 minute instrumental wank-a-thons on this one.

Aren't you a SUNNO))) fan?
I positively relish the idea of a thirty minute wankathon.

I dunno, I don't mind it when instrumental bands do 30 minute wankfests, but when bands with otherwise decent vocalists do I'm not sure I'd be that into it.

I listened to "THE SEER" today, and most of the "wankathons" are more like instrumental droning drill-to-the-head kind of stuff. Which I love.
So with SWANS, wankathons to me mean something a little different. It's not aggravating shit like THE MARS VOLTA used to pull.

Man, I heard "The Seer" like 4 or 5 times thinking it would grow on me, but it didn't. :/ Did not oike it at all.
I'm still willing to give Swans a shot on another of their albums though.
Also, I never cared for Mars Volta at all. Some decent stuff in there, even a good amount of originality in there, but overall? Whatevs

I think the Seer is pretty accessible for the Swans, so I don't hold out much hope for you Ravenpig.

It's ok.
You don't have to like them if you don't want.
You're in a safe zone here.
They can't hurt you anymore.

Yeah.
I'm guessing you probably shouldn't bother with Cop or Holy Money if The Seer was difficult for you.....

Difficult isn't the right word, I just didn't like it.
