I like how the grapes just had to be raked out of those giant vats at the same time they were filming a promo vid for a music release. Evidently not a single moment to spare these days, those are for lazy people after all. Behold, we're witnessing an amazing multi-tasker at work!

I just keep repeating the samples on amazon, can't get enough. What a year we've had, new Puscifer, new Ghost and new Riverside.

Thanks Ettan - I suspect a leak is not far off.

Samples sound good, as myself and others have said before, sounds very much like COMP part 2. Will be interesting to check out, but I'm not expecting this to blow me away at all.

Did you like COMP?

I haven't heard any of the samples and at this point I'm just gonna wait til it's out.

It was ok, I preferred V is for Vagina though. I prefer Puscifer when they're sounding a little more upbeat - something that appears to be lacking from the samples. I don't have great expectations for this album, but look forward to giving it a decent listen regardless.

I think this sounds a lot more composed than COMP. COMP had some issues that, really, don't bother me but are there.

M$ seems like there's actual time spent behind it. From what I've heard (including The Remedy radio single) something like the end of The Rapture would sound totally at home on M$. On the other hand, it sounded kinda weird and out of place on COMP cuz it just lingered and then finished.

I remember not liking the Amazon samples before COMP came out but then I really liked the album. The last 4 tracks on V is for... are better than it but overall COMP is better.

I do agree that fun Puscifer is better because my favorite thing of theirs by far is the Berger Barns country/folk/etc versions of their songs.

looks like Billy D will be making a return.. Maybe the Luchafur/Luchadors are a gang that have kidnapped Billy. Glad they are rolling over some familiar faces from the COMP days

Thanks! And thanks!

I'm looking forward to this album just because everyone involved in it seems to actually have worked on it. On COMP, I love a lot of the songs but some of them sound like jam sessions that ended up getting laid down.

Money Shot, so far, sounds like it was composed song-by-song. But I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Okay, so. Since hellboy asked I'll give my first impressions. It's a well crafted album with very few dead spots. The lyrics are more complex than most of COMP and the music is more layered but admittedly darker. There don't seem to be any tracks that are reaching for something and fall short except maybe "Galileo" and "The Grand Canyon" (I like the latter but YMMV).

I would definitely compare it favorably to A Perfect Circle, especially Thirteenth Step.

That's some high praise in my book. Looking forward to giving it a listen even more now.
