What if you had the printer ship the U.S. orders to a U.S. member and they could handle the shipping within the states?

Long time away from the site. Came back to see whats going on.

Design looks good enough for me to wear to a concert, Tool or other such bands. Probably wouldn't wear in gen pop though.

Higher quality shirt at a higher price would be OK with me.
A lot of the cheap custom shirts now are that super thin material crap.
Looks great on skinny hipsters, but not portly men such as myself.

I would be interested at a level of around $25-$30 final cost to my door in TX.
Possibly $35 if it was a super high quality shirt and print job.

My input for design would be put something on the front and back of the shirt.
I hate spending money on a printed shirt to have only one side with something on it.

Hope that helps!

Yeah, that's the plan and that part of it is more or less sorted.

Problem at the moment is finding a printer in the US I'm confident will print a decent shirt. It's easier for me to be hands on with a local printer, but postage blows the price out of the water.

Thanks BB - I take that all on board. I'm aiming for a price around $30 inc shipping. The design isn't final, but I expect there will be a print on both sides of the shirt (Kittaan's prototype only has the artwork printed on it, so may be a one off).

This is me too..... If it is printed in the US that's cool, I will pay US to Oz postage...

I think it's safe to reveal what will appear on the back of the shirt now:

The artists has graciously decided to sell it to me for a mere $1000. I need you guys to make some donations so I can afford this though. Who's down?

Cost effectiveness doesn't bother me too much, I'm not really interested in cheap, though I expect the shirts to be good value either. And it's much easier to have them all done in the same place. The problem for the most part is that Australia Post expect you to bend over the table while the fuck you in the ass for postage to the US.
I understand.

If you could find a printer that has locations in both AUS and US, then maybe they could get an exact match on the colors for the shirts. The only way to go is with high quality fabric shirts that are soft and comfy. I'm not saying to go cheap...I am just trying to find a way around the high postage costs of shipping over the pond.

The prototype I got was good quality. Thick, soft fabric, decent fit. The print was well done too. I thought the colors were a little muted, but otherwise very nice.

Got quite a few comments on it at a couple recent gigs.

There's not much to be done about the colours - the nature of that form of digital printing is that it loses some of it's brightness as the ink doesn't have the same flourescent type flair as normal paint does.

The search continues! Thanks for all the feedback and input - I sure do appreciate it!

The back of the shirt should be a face with four eyes except the two additional eyes are cross-eyed or something.

Or maybe the Fourth eye is a lazy eye...

Four eyes arranged in a horizontally elongated diamond pattern, with either the top or bottom eye open, the rest closed

Medals have been awarded to donators to the Frank Heiler artwork. If I missed you out, just let me know (I may have missed a couple due to shitty record keeping)

Missed this when I was away, but whatever happened to getting a fourtheye shirt?

I never did them in the end - was going to take up too much of my time and energy to do, and I was skeptical I'd actually recoup costs

Perhaps Hellboy T-shirts are the go. Pretty sure they're already printed. :)

I'll just make my own. Off-white wife beater, duct tape on the front with the words "Forf Ehe", and on the back "Tewl"

Seriously tho, I wonder if a simpler design would be better. Just a unique symbol on the front with join date or something? It would be great if Tool would sanction the design of the emblem, get some input from DC. Something like TA, but different.
