King Buffalo is back with their fifth full-length album Regenerator, due out on September 2, 2022. The album was written and recorded by the band, with mixing and engineering by guitarist and vocalist Sean McVay and mastering by Bernie Matthews. Regenerator is the third in King Buffalo's self-described "pandemic trilogy," The Burden of Restlessness and Acheron.
Perfect From Now On is a great album and one of my favorite 'indie' albums of all time.
This new one however....
Ancient Melodies of the Future is probably my favorite, but I think Perfect From Now On and Keep it Like a Secret are both great albums as well.
There are a few good songs on You in Reverse, but I never really got into There is No Enemy, and then again..only a couple of songs really stuck with me from Untethered Moon.
This new album has more of a low key vibe than the last three, and I think it makes for a more enjoyable experience...but I agree, no where near the level of the earlier records. Not sure how long this one will stay in rotation for me, but at the moment I'm enjoying it.
