Really looking forward to Hesitation Marks now. I actually think Trent sounded pretty damn strong on all of those live tracks, even the heavier ones.

Copy of A... sounds awesome, lots of energy, Came Back Haunted still growing on me and sounding better every time, Find My Way is probably the weakest, but I think that's because it sounds like more of a studio track than a live festival track. Good effort.

I feel like "Came Back Haunted' is a far better track live. I'm still warming up to it, but I feel like Hesitation Marks has a lot of potential.

I dig it, though with this and "Came Back" this new album isn't exactly off to a blockbuster start. Seems like he's using the PHM sound but without the depressing lyrics. Still, I like both songs. Looking forward to hearing the first new NIN album in.,... 5 years? Geez Louise.

(Insert random shot at Tool here)

I thought you would have worked out his shtick by now. See what people like/dislike, then post the opposite.

I never said I "liked" Nine Inch Nails. I said this new material was much better than usual.

Nine Inch Nails are ok I suppose. I just find the lyrics/vocals childish, attention seeking emo nonsense.

If he could write some decent lyrics and stop singing through his nose...

That's absolute and utter bullshit. There's no "schtick", fella.

Ragging on NIN while sporting a Kiss avatar. Alrighty then.

Nothing childish about KISS lyrics!

KISS lyrics are stoopid. They're meant to be stoopid. Nine Inch Nails however.....fuck, he tries SO fucking hard to be deep and "intense" and.....urrrrrgggghh.

Makes me shudder. He gets it wrong. So wrong. And people think he's such the "genius".

KISS are fuck you, let's rock out and then go bang some chicks. And their 70's material fucken slays. Hating on 70's Kiss for being "juvenile" is like hating on Star Wars.

It's like, well yeah...it's dumb and popcorn fodder. That's kinda the point.

70's Kiss that is. I have no time for Kiss post 1980. They turned into Bon Jovi.

Trent is some whiny emo knob with a laptop and a diary full of "woe is me, my life as a sex symbol modern rock icon is so hard. nobody understands me. Im going to go and cut my arms and hate on the world some more. if anybody needs me I'll be in my room" bullshit.

He probably doesn't even eat meat.

I like this post. A guy whining on the internet about a guy who whined in his songs.

He wrote most of the material you're describing before he became absolutely huge and popular. "THE FRAGILE" is a marked change in direction with regard to both musical style and lyrical content.

Don't get me wrong, I'm kind of done with NIN now - just thought you should get your facts straight.

And I am struggling to see what vegetarianism has to do with anything.
