I was poking around on Ticketek this morning during the sales, and noticed the following Tool Showplus option which seems available only to Brisbane fans:
Enjoy the Tool ShowPlus Hospitality Experience!
Your choice of a General Admission Standing or an A Reserve Lower Circle Seating event ticket.
90 minute Stand Up Cocktail Reception prior to the concert with finger food and beverage selection included*.
1 hour post event with Cash Bar.
Lanyard for each guest.
A DJ in the function room pre show.
Private themed function room.
Dedicated Venue entry.
Complimentary car parking (next best available).
* Beverage package includes BEC selected House Wine, Beer, Soft Drinks, Orange Juice & Water. You must be 18 years or older and produce ID at the bar to receive alcoholic beverages.
Tickets are $297 each. Note that this is a hospitality package offered by the venue, and not some kind of Tool VIP pass. Still, if you really want a GA ticket, and think you can knock back $150+ worth of food and drinks in 90 minutes, then this is for you!

Wonder how many of you silly fucks are going to actually pay 300 bucks for your Toolgasm mixer.
Maybe they will play Eulogy. Â No wait, Maynard can't sing that.
Maybe they will play H. Â No wait, Maynard can't sing that one either.
Ohhh maybe they will play Undertow. Â No no, too much whine, can't sing that either.
Hey I bet they play Vicarious and he let's you crazyyyy aussies sing the ending.
MUCH BETTER YOU THAN I!

Besides the lanyard, I can't see anything else of note in that package. House booze? A DJ?
That lanyard better be attached to the new album.
At least we can take comfort in the fact that no TOOL fan would be stupid enough to buy such a-
Fuck it, I can't finish that sentence. I'm laughing too hard.

You could give that 150$ a run for it's money
but you'd be hammered and miserable by the time the show started.

That's the only way Mog could attend to the concert.

it's cool that you totally missed why the package is a complete rip off. At least you thought of two songs to replace Ticks and Hooker with to prop up your whine.

beside the solid setlists he did a fine job singing last time around in melbs, he also sang the end of Vicarious at the BDO... does that make your butt hurt more?!
@cheese: $150 bucks in drinks at a show in Australia is a light buzz at best for anyone who'd not consider themselves an amateur in the art of alcohol intake... miserable only because I'm not wasted for my 150 beans

I think there's a very good chance that Beyond The Pale will at least print the posters. Â I know John was pushing to have them do the artwork as well, but Adam was quite insistent that he did it last time around.
You know what I'd love to see - Adam produce a character of some type for each poster, and then Beyond The Pale get someone from their impressive repitoire to add their own style to the poster.

For those unaware, Beyond The Pale are a Melbourne based poster company, who produce concert posters of impressively high quality. Â Here's a few examples:
it should be noted that posters for the Sydney BDO Tool show in 2011 are still for sale at $35 each:

Fuck that. Â The only way I would attend a Tool concert would be if it included a complementary blow job from Mila Kunis
^ So fucking Hot.
Or of course if Tool were playing NEW music.

All of those examples are done by Rhys Cooper, and although I'm generally not into pop culture-esque art, his stuff is high quality for sure: Studio Seppuku
I'd welcome his take on a tool poster with an open anus!
