Re: Grand Theft Auto V
I'm about half an hour in. It's definitely the best entry in terms of controls. The cars handle wonderfully. Gunplay is solid. The visuals aren't much of a step up from Grand Theft Auto IV, they're a little crisper, and the gameworld is much more colorful which makes everything look a little prettier. It's much faster paced too. I just finished the second mission after the intro and I already have a pistol and shotgun.

Oh man I just picked up a tank of gas, poured it all over a car, and lit it on fire. This game is awesome.

Every gaming store I walked past on Tuesday there was a line 10 deep, most of whom seemed to have a copy of GTAV in their hands.

Keep an eye out for the Yoga mission. Shit gets pretty crazy there.

Meh, I disliked that mission personally. If I wanted that kind of shit I'd just play Saints Row.Umadbrah? wrote:haha so i broke out the game and i must say its really good. I'm not much for open world games, but this one has kept my attention. i just got to the part....

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Definitely do the Freaks & Strangers missions as soon as you can. Those are how you unlock a lot of the side activities. I'm probably in the last quarter of the game and I wish I had done those sooner.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
So ,just to let you guys know, there's a small glitch in the game if your bank account goes into the negative. I had it happen when I spent all my cash before going on a mission and during one of the cutscenes I gave a guy some cash, and I ended up with -$50. Anyways this causes a glitch where you won't receive any money digitally. The only way to fix is to go and pick up some cash physically. Rob a store, or an armored car, or just beat someone up. Do it as soon as possible. I got screwed out of millions of dollars because of this.

Got it yesterday. Good god it's really fun. The map is so fucking big that I get lost really easy. Haha. Can't wait for some online play.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Has anyone managed to get online?
I've tried twice, but it crashed before I could finish making my character.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
I've got my character made. I can't seem to get past the waiting for players boss in the first tutorial. I just read that people have had success deleting the title update and re-downloading it. I havent tried it yet, so i cant say if it actually works or not.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Well I was able to make a character, but as my character entered the world, I got fucking voted out or whatever. So I started a solo session since I've heard people had more success with that, but I couldn't get past that first race.
But seriously I got fucking booted out as soon as my character appeared in the world. That's fucking ridiculous.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
I've finally got past the first race, and it seems pretty stable after that. It's fun so far, but it really breeds douchyness everyone just runs around killing each other even if your working together on a mission.

It was survival of the fittest when I was online - it wasn't possible to go near another player without getting shot first.Umadbrah? wrote:I've finally got past the first race, and it seems pretty stable after that. Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Hopefully that calms down eventually, because if it always like that I don't see myself playing too much of it. GTA IV's multiplayer wasn't always like that, so I'm hopeful. It'll probably get better once Call Of Duty and Battlefield release and all the kids flock to those games.
