Agreed.  Absolutely fucking horrible.  I highly doubt that DJ received permission to use Tool's music for that purpose.  I am not a fucking boyscout so I don't care but I hope Blair comes across it and reports it to Tool's management and label.

And let's be clear, there is a difference between sampling and essentially mashing up two artists.  This shit goes way beyond sampling.

Although wrong, isn't that how it was spelled on the initial release? Maybe that's what he was looking at.

I've seen a lot of people reference Lateralis rather than Lateralus.

I think it's interesting, he also seems to be at least moderately intelligent.  The Bill Hicks samples were great for me.  I should also note that I'm a huge fan of Reflection be playing with Hawkman.  That shit was epic.

Not if you're going off some of the original copies of Lateralus.  C'mon fan-girl, you should know that.

I actually didn't recoil in horror which is what I expected. Dig the instrumentals a lot more. I think it's a decent use of sampling. Way more creative than most "mash ups" you hear thrown around.

That was, without a doubt, the worst thing I have ever heard in my life.

I have heard a woman being raped.

I have heard my mother screaming with rage.

I have heard late-era METALLICA.

I have heard a room full of hundreds of young Asian children scream their heads off for an hour, like fucking lunatics.

I have heard lies from people I love, and people I admire, and people I respect.

I have heard stupid jokes.

I have heard a tireshop outside of my bedroom window in full operation for a year from the times of 7am - 6pm.

I have heard Koreanns spit, vomit, yell, and cry - all at the same time. Repeatedly.

I have heard the 'Nards whimpy-as-all-fuck speaking voice.

I have heard people threaten suicide with knives in their hands.

And THIS was the worst thing I have ever heard.

^ I think I lost a small piece of my soul when I heard St. Anger.

^ Opening the booklet to Load had a much bigger impact on me than St Anger ever could have hoped to do..

And yeh I listened to 20 seconds of this last night.. It was horrendously shit!

It was. And I think we all know I'm not one to suck TOOL's musical penis.

Aesop Rock is one of the greatest underground hip hop artists over the past 15 years. Have to give this a listen, but AR is one of the most innovative with rhymes and beats. everything he's done with EL-P over the past decade is quality.

So, an obvious choice to mix with some TOOL songs.

I thought it was enjoyable and interesting. Definitely not bad, but there could be some room for improvement.

The only way to improve this would be to burn every copy and kill the cockbag who made it.

OK, so tool is easily one of my favorite bands ever, and Aesop is easily my favorite from the genre of the last 10+ years... and... this is absolute heresy... this mofo should NEVER be allowed to touch music in any format EVER again.  Thanx for finding a way to destroy my enjoyment of both simultaneously, you hairy, cancerous, cock mole.

Also, I despise mash-ups, so this was never going to be appreciated by me.
