But I have to ask, Junior, how much did you pay for him to say the things around 10:20, 18:20 & 28:20?
Seems like he liked it.

I think most everyone went home, apart from the international members of our crew.

Are you headed back to the beach house for some R&R or off to your Tahoe chalet for some skiing?

Either way, enjoy the time off. :D

I’m getting excited now. I hope the band and crew are getting in some nice R&R before starting the machine up again next week. I’m looking forward to notching show 11 onto my belt. I’ve been doing this for 20 years now. I’m super excited to see songs I’ve never seen before. The new setlist is amazing. I went down a rabbit hole with my tool friends talking about the shows we have been to, so I thought I would share my list. Feel free to heap scorn as necessary for my exercise in memory. The format below is show date/ opening act/ Venue & city/ tour name/ songs heard for the first time.

Once more into the fray weirdos.

8/11/2001 Berkeley Community Theater (King Crimson) Pre-Seminal Lateralus Tour; Lateralus hits + Aenima Hits, Sober, Salival Pushit, Opiate and Eulogy!

11/02/2001 Sacramento Arco Arena (Tricky) Lateralus Tour; The Patient and Triad!

11/03/2001 Mt. View Shoreline Amphitheater (Tricky) Lateralus Tour; Original Pushit and Undertow!

7/15/2002 LA Forum (Tomahawk) Inside the Outside Tour; Flood!

11/24/2002 Long Beach Arena (Meshuggah); Last show of the Inside the Outside Tour; Third Eye!

4/30/2006 Coachella (Massive Attack, Madonna post-show, Daft Punk Friday night) first show of the 10,000 Days Tour, 10,000 Days Hits.

10/7/2006 Nassau Coliseum Long Island (ISIS) 10,000 Days Tour; Wings 1 & 2 and Lost Keys/Rosetta!

2/1/2012 Izod Center NJ (Yob) North American Winter Tour 2012; Hooker and Intension!

6/4/2017 Gov Ball NYC North American Tour 2017; The Hits!

11/19/2019 Barclays Center Brooklyn (Killing Joke) Fear Inoculum First Leg; FI hits and Part of Me!

2/23/2022 UBS Arena Long Island (The Acid Helps) Fear Inoculum Second Leg; ???!!!

Made it back from Miami a few days ago - pretty cool city. I had a 'VIP bronze' ticket that got me 6th row, in front of JC. He does a good job interacting with the crowd around him which was neat. I think the view from the side sections of the arenas and up about 15 rows are WAY better to enjoy the whole production imo. The poster dramas you're seeing/reading on Reddit are for real - it was nuts seeing dudes frothing to get one. I was buying a 'program' for $30 - which is a cool 12 page booklet of tour photos - and a dude offered to buy it for me, and a poster, if I asked the merch guy for an autographed poster too (there's a limit of 1 autographed poster per person, and he was busting a nut for 2). So, that was a win. I guess? The poster for Miami is pretty shit. All in all, a good experience - but not sure it was worth the $300 ticket price. Whatever they've been planning to send out that comes with it is still delayed.... probably a poster.

It's likely the guy was trying to get you two buy 2 so he could get around the limit. It's likely his second poster is on Ebay right now

Ha. Yah just to clarify: I was only going to buy the little booklet. Dude next to me (taking up residence somewhere on the spectrum) said to ask for an autographed poster (limit 1), a normal poster (limit 2... I think?), and the booklet. He then paid for it all (US$400, thanks for coming), kept the autographed poster himself, and I got to keep the unsigned poster and book. It was nuts man. I didn't see what he bought again once he got served as I walked away, so yah. Once the general admissions turned up at 6pm the line for that particular merch table (I think there were 3) snaked about 100m. Shitshow. I don't really gaf, but they should maybe just sell them online with a priority to those with a VIP ticket for the specific event or something. Carrying around a poster and a booklet all night from that point was dumb, and presented some curious logistical challenges.

Mmm and sidenote - pretty sure they all got up on stage in costume/disguise while BlondeRedhead was playing to jump around a bit during one of their last songs. Nobody noticed. Reminiscent of when AJ and JC got up and played with Jakob in Melbourne. Pew pew.
