Haven't seen it mentioned on here yet, but Kabir from Toolshed just did a Q&A session on Reddit yesterday -

Nothing extremely mind-blowing, but he goes into a bit more detail about his relationship with the band over the years....and I think he implied he doesn't think Problem 8 is real, for what it's worth.

The Problem 8 "riddle" was solved during one of those Q & A's a couple years back.

Someone asked Adam about it and he had no idea what they were talking about. After he was told what it was he said something like "that sounds like something Blair would make up".

There's the chance Adam was bullshitting too (I guess) but I remember the poster saying Adam looked legitimately confused by the question.

I remember reading that Adam said that....but I also remember Blair posting a pic on Toolband a few years ago of one of their "whiteboard" arrangements, and the heading on the board was "PROB 8 RH", and Blair said something like "I was surprised to see that song title again after all these years"......God only knows though....definitely don't care that much about it anymore

Misfits got annouced for Riot Fest. Full lineup coming "in a few days". Time to find out if those rumors are true.

Somebody mentioned it on Inforoo and it makes sense since he said there was new music coming this year.

1-2% chance? Riot Fest is big on getting bands to play an album in it's entirety tho.

Lineup is supposed to drop Wed.

Tool doing what APC did with consecutive night shows playing whole albums would be insane! (And a ticket acquiring nightmare for the fans!) I personally don't think it would ever happen due to the #of albums, but we all can dream. Maybe when they're ready to do a "cash grab"...oh wait...haha j/k, just looking forward to the next time i can see them live again be it new music out or not

Yea for several reasons too. All MJK. Ya know.. healing process and anger issues sorted! . Not to mention vocal ability. I don't think the other 3 would have any problem playing their album's in full?

MJK does seem a little bit more willing to challenge himself these days, but yes there are a range of songs, and I'm thinking Aenima and Undertow in particular that I don't think he could pull off. I think Lateralus could be done though.

Can any of you Tool veterans remember how the recording / mixing / releasing was announced by the band / Blair for previous albums. Was he / they straight up about it... i.e Yep. The guys are in the studio. Or was it more cryptic?

Did they release news step by step...announcing mixing is happening etc?

Tool out of all bands should really hire a good PR team and hype the album whenever it comes out. Tool fans love cryptic shit, and I would too.
