That's exactly why they called it Tool Army. And why I couldn't bring myself to join it for years. Finally broke down, but that was a real turn off.
FourthEye would have been a much better name.

Im not sure I even heard anyone mention the extended Hooker With a Penis, which is really good, and really cool. I like that they just keep adding extended sections to a lot of songs! Also, I feel like I keep hearing this riff out of Adam, I suspect it is new material! Sweet little extended part!

I haven't listened to the example you posted (I will when I get home) but from memory they've been playing an extended section in HWAP since the re-added it to the setlist a few years back.
