I thought we need a good old beer thread

I enjoy a nice cold one on a warm evening or a hot day. At the moment I'm having a nice carlton mid.

Firstly it's a mid strength beer. Secondly it's shitty beer no better than Bud or something like that. If we're going to talk about beer drinking then lets go for some quality stuff.

I don't mind cider from time to time.

There's something about pear cider that I just love, when I have one I can't stop drinking them.

We've had our problems, to be sure, brother.
But whatever you're thinking right now, is the right way to go.

Pfffft. Stone IPA is a good beer. But that doesn't stop me from drinking "lesser" beers on occasion or be the internet beer snob.

I'll drink whatever gets me drunk.
Had a 375ml bottle of vodka last night, for example.

My motto is "if you'll pour it, I'll drink it" but that doesn't mean that shitty beers are a worthwhile discussion topic. Why aim low when we can aim a little higher.

You made it 7 nights
On topic this is probably the best American beer I've had, a little on the heavy side for me to drink too many in a session though
Same goes with my favourite Australian beer
If I'm at a pub or drinking at home though it's always and forever
Yes I prefer it in cans

I think Dark Ale is Coopers best brew personally, but I do like a good Sparkling from time to time. Got a six pack of Coopers Vintage aging in my liquor cabinet as well.

Now that's way too heavy for me for more than 2.
Don't mind a long neck of that every so often, in winter with a great steak and I'm in heaven.

In a related note, I scored about 4 cartons of homebrew from my Grandpa's place last weekend. Quality to be determined.

Ah, homebrew. The hobby you have when you think way too much about beer.

Feral Hop Hog is mighty tasty on a Sunday afternoon. Or any afternoon for that matter. With just the perfect kick

I'd love to try homebrew one day, but the truth is I don't drink at home enough to warrant it. It takes me a year to get through a carton of beer, as most of my drinking tends to be when I'm out at a show or the footy.
