Also I read this morning that their European tour has been cancelled, due to Dale having a back injury.

The Maggot & The Bootlicker - Vinyl Reissue (out 9/20/2019)

Twenty years ago, on 1st April 1999, Ipecac Records was formed to release Fantômas debut release (a band featuring Mike Patton, Dave Lombardo, Trevor Dunn and Buzz Osborne from Melvins).

During that time, Buzz said, “We told Greg that if they wanted to start a label then the Melvins would love to be involved. We asked if he would be interested in doing a trilogy of releases within one year and they said no problem.” That year the Melvins released The Maggot, The Bootlicker and The Crybaby via Ipecac.

Now for Ipecac’s 20th Anniversary, we’re reissuing two-thirds of the infamous “trilogy” by packaging The Maggot & The Bootlicker together in a Double Vinyl LP gatefold package with disc one on White vinyl and disc two on Doublemint Green.

Yeah, his last solo acoustic tour was fantastic. I saw him in a venue with about 200 people. Before he went on, he was just chillin on some couch off to the side near the bar, taking pictures and chatting with people. Getting to meet him was one of my most favorite concert memories ever.

Don't mind the new track, and also agree the acoustic shows were great.

Melvins just announced Working With God (out Feb 26, 2021)

Here’s what they say about it:

“It's a brand new Melvins record! Working With God features their 1983 lineup of Buzz & Dale with Mike Dillard. As Buzz says "This album is a treat! It’s loaded with all kinds of interesting songs. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, listening to the Melvins is like taking a drug trip while watching a movie about someone on a drug trip. This new record is no different."

We've launched two songs today including "I Fuck Around", the band's homage to the Beach Boys, along with "Bouncing Rick". The release will be on CD, Digital and three different vinyl variants includes standard Black as well as limited-edition Silver (2000 worldwide) and Custard (500 worldwide), with only part of that pressing available here on Bandcamp.”
