Poll Results: Should Tool call it a day?

  • Uncategorized

This weeks poll cause a lot of discussion (as it was designed to) though overall it comes as no surprise to me to see that the vast majority of you don’t want Tool to call it quits anytime soon. Personally I don’t think the need to call it a day.  As every band matures they need to make decisions which influence how and what they play, and Tool certainly aren’t… Read More »Poll Results: Should Tool call it a day?

Tool US Tour postponed?

According to a post by Carpetcrawler on Toolarmy, someone on a music biz chatroom has posted: “Looks like someone broke an arm… All or atleast some of the April/March tour to be rescheduled.” There’s not a shred of evidence to support this statement, but it’s a slow news day so why not.  So don’t get too excited just yet, if anything else is heard then you’llread it here.

Danny Drumskin on Trademe

Spongebob from Toolnavy pointed out that there is a Danny Carey drumskin from the New Zealand Big Day Out on Trade Me.  The current bidding price is $100 (New Zealand I presume).

New Poll: Should Tool call it a day?

I’ve had it suggested to me by several people that Tool are “past it”, or “irrelevant”, or that certain members of the band are no longer into it. It has also been mentioned that recent live performances have been sub-par. Personally i don’t know that I agree with all of this, but this week I ask the controversial question – should Tool call it a day?

Tool At Bonnaroo?

Toolshed are reporting that the lineup for the Bonnaroo Festival in Tennessee was leaked last night, and that Tool were on the lineup.  If this is true then it should be confirmed in the next few days. As I wrote this message, it seems these tour dates were announced on Toolband: 3/31 Baton Rouge, LA @ River Center 4/2 Pensacola, FL @ Pensacola Civic Center 4/3 Tallahassee, FL @ Leon… Read More »Tool At Bonnaroo?

Wolfmother > Tool

The Grammy’s have been announced, and it appears that Tool have won one, and lost the other.  They (really Adam) won the award for Best Recording Package for 10,000 Days, but were beaten by Wolfmother(!) for the Best Hard Rock Performance.  Thanks to Stoney8 from Toolarmy for the tip. Let the Grammy bashing commence!

Justin on the Upcoming US Tour

Justin spoke with Launch Radio Networks recently and had this to say about the upcoming US tour: “Actually, we’re kind of playing places that we didn’t play last year, so I don’t think, it won’t be, like, completely different songs, you know,” he said. “It won’t be a completely different thing, but it will be slightly more evolved. I mean, it naturally evolves as we go through time, you know.”… Read More »Justin on the Upcoming US Tour
