Puscifer to play Big Day Out 2013?

I was reading through the comments to the recent newsletter article this morning, and came across this little Big Day Out 2013 tour rumour from PolarBear: While catting with a few members after the Puscifer show in Houston last week, I overhead Josh Eustis say there may be plans for Puscifer to play Big Day Out (There ya go, Aussies. Wait is almost over.), potentially followed by a string of… Read More »Puscifer to play Big Day Out 2013?

Stereoscopic Adam at Tool rehearsal

Here’s nice stereoscopic pic of Adam that appeared on his Twitter feed today: Photo was taken by Aaron Harris, former ISIS member, Melvins sound guy and part time drum tech for Danny, during the rehearsals for the Rivers Edge date. Update: I forgot there was a second one as well take mid-gig!

Tool June 2012 Newsletter released

Blair has published the June Tool 2012 Newsletter, and it’s Part 3 in the Tales from the Loft series. As with the last few it’s quite an interesting read with a few things I didn’t know about the band such as this little trivia item: Up until this point, I hadn’t really listened to that much Tool, and was only familiar with the song “Opiate” and Undertow’s “Sober” – a… Read More »Tool June 2012 Newsletter released

Chet Zar & Steve Niles in TOME Kickstarter

I spotted today on Twitter Chet Zar plugging a Kickstarter project entitled TOME which is apparently come kind of comic related project. Not only is Chet involved in the project, but so is fellow Adam collaborator Steve Niles (of 30 Days of Night fame). According to the blurb this years theme is Vampires, so if comics and vampires are your thing, then check it out!

Poster for Rivers Edge Festival revealed

The poster for the Tool Rivers Edge Festival show this weekend has been revealed on Toolband. Here you go! There’s a Tool Army exclusive pic of an autographed version for those of you registered there. No word on how much the posters are yet, but they will be found at the merch stalls at the venue.

Rivers Edge Music Festival Schedule

The Rivers Edge Music Festival approaches, and they have finally released a schedule for the day, with Tool on stage at 8:45pm and playing for 1 hour and 15 minutes until 10:00pm. Presumably 10:00pm is some kind of noise curfew, and anything pre-8:45 is too light to do the stage show justice Either way, 75 minutes is about standard length for a headline set at a festival (here in Australia… Read More »Rivers Edge Music Festival Schedule

Tool not recording on a boat

Maynard was interviewed recently by the Star Tribune in the leadup to the River’s Edge Festival featuring both Tool and Puscifer. He didn’t really have much to add to progress on the new Tool album, but did talk about Tool a little more than in other recent interviews: On what’s taking so long for the follow-up to Tool’s last album, 2006’s “10,000 Days”: “We’ve been brothers for over 22 years,… Read More »Tool not recording on a boat

Danny’s Glass Snare

An article on Toolband today reveals a new snare drum in Danny‘s arsenal, this time made of glass. The post reveals: Aaron Harris shows me Danny’s new prototype GLASS SNARE while dismantling the drum kit that will be used during TOOL’S performance at the RIVER’S EDGE FESTIVAL on St. Paul’s Harriet Island SATURDAY, JUNE 23. Aaron will be Danny’s drum tech for the gig, so let’s hope the damn thing… Read More »Danny’s Glass Snare

Tool Production Still

Blair has confirmed on Toolband that the arm posted by Adam on Twitter recently is in fact a Tool Production Still: TOOL PRODUCTION STILL In case you missed Adam’s recent twitter post, here’s a production still from a new TOOL PROJECT that should be out in the Fall. No word on what this project may be, I can speculate it is the rumoured video for The Pot, but at this… Read More »Tool Production Still
