Poll Results: Favorite Mike Patton Project?

Last weeks poll asked what was your favorite Mike Patton project? Personally I’m a Tomahawk fan, but it came as no surprise to me to see that Faith No More won the poll.  Faith No More were pretty much a defining band for me as a teenager.  Without them, and particularly Angel Dust I probably would never got into Heavy Music at all, and would be stuck in the purgatory… Read More »Poll Results: Favorite Mike Patton Project?

Hi to all our Hungarian readers!  Thanks to Att for the tip Oh, and for those of you that haven’t worked it out yet, the latest post regarding Danny’s injury on Toolshed is an April Fools joke.

I presume it’s not an April Fools joke!  This months newsletter seems to focus on the San Antonio curse.  Check it out at Toolband/Army

Tool confrimed on German festival?

According to newdawn73 from Toolarmy Tool have been confirmed as playing on the German M’era Luna Festival in August later this year.  Presumably this is the first of many dates for the next European tour. Just as a slight editorial, the next lot of touring (which should include Australia and New Zealand) will quite possibly be the last tour for Tool for a while.  The next chance to see Tool… Read More »Tool confrimed on German festival?

We had the building inspector come in to check out our house the other day (for those that are interested, it has been sold and we’ll be back in Adelaide shortly). While examining the study, the inspector noticed my various Tool items hung up on the… Read More »Hellboy new guitarist for Tool?

Roll Results: Are You Musical?

  • Uncategorized

Last week I asked if you guys were musical in anyway, and it turns out that most of you have dabbled in music at some time or another.  Most of you seemed to be guitar players, but there was a pretty even spread amonst the rest.  Personally I picked Bass guitar, though I also play the 6-string and did many years of piano playing when I was younger. Here are… Read More »Roll Results: Are You Musical?

Metal for nerds?

It’s been a pretty slow news week, so I thought I might share this article submitted by Andrew that talks about how Heavy Metal is seen as comfort music for bright children: “There is a perception of gifted and talented students as being into classical music and spending a lot of time reading. I think that is an inaccurate stereotype. There is literature that links heavy metal to poor academic… Read More »Metal for nerds?
