New Poll: If Tool’s new album released was the same as the last NIN album, which version would you purchase?

In light of Nine Inch Nails recent release Ghosts, this time I ask if Tool release their next album using the same model, which version would you purchase. For those who don’t know, the options are: Free download of part of the album $5 for a digital only copy of the entire album $10 for the standard CD $75 deluxe edition featuring a Blu-Ray disc with extras $300 Ultra-Deluxe edition,… Read More »New Poll: If Tool’s new album released was the same as the last NIN album, which version would you purchase?

Poll Results: What is your favorite Tool album?

The last poll asked what is you favorite Tool album? This time, rather than asking about all those decoy albums such as Lateralus and 10,000 Days, I decided to ask you about the real thing! Turns out Bethlehem Abortion Clinic has a place in many of your hearts, while many fans wish they could have been holidaying in Greece when the Live! at the Acropolis show was recorded. Bethlehem Abortion… Read More »Poll Results: What is your favorite Tool album?

March 2008 Newsletter

Blair has released the March 2008 Tool Newsletter today, and it seems to be somewhat interesting for a change with discussions about a new Tool album, Rock band/Guitar Hero, Beach towels and the live DVD.  It doesn’t really give us any new information at all, but at least gives us a vague idea of what we might be able to expect in the future…

Maynard talks about V is Viagra

Straight from the Puscifer Myspace Blog: Just finished listening to the first ruff master for the V is for Viagra, remix collection. It’s so inspiring to hear how others musicians re-interpret these songs. Good times. There are for sure a few stand outs, but I won’t ruin it for you. Lots of stuff about to be hatched. The video for DoZo is almost done. Meats is chain chugging power drinks… Read More »Maynard talks about V is Viagra

V is for Viagra?

Several members of Toolarmy have mentioned that a new Puscifer remix album called V is for Viagra will be released on the 29th of April. This is news to me, and there’s no confirmation of this anywhere I can see, but I’d reckon it’s safe to assume there will be a remix album eventually. Update: Turns out it’s on the Coming Soon section of the Puscifer website. Here are the… Read More »V is for Viagra?

Fourtheye Survey 2007: Demographics & Tastes

I’ve combined the Demographics section with the Tastes one, since demographics by itself is a small (and possibly boring) topic. I’ve also pulled out the favorite bands section, since that’s going to take a while to compile properly. Stay tuned for those later this week. Here are the results! How old are you? This question is an interesting one, since I’d generally consider there to be a lot of Tool… Read More »Fourtheye Survey 2007: Demographics & Tastes

Aloke OK, Volto! coming soon

According to a recent post by Blair on Toolband/Army, Aloke is recovering well from his heart surgery in his home town of Shantiniketan, India. Good news… Also, Volto! will be playing at the Knitting Factory in LA on March 15. Make sure you grab a ticket!  prepare yourself, here’s a cool drum solo courtesy of rnp2003 from Toolarmy. Finally, for those that missed it, there’s a new NIN album out… Read More »Aloke OK, Volto! coming soon

Undertow Tool’s best according to Shit Parader

The Tool Hotline report that Hit Parader have released a top 200 hard rock cds you cant live without list. The only entries from Tool are 10,000 Days at 124 and Undertow at 78. I would say that over 90% of Tool fans would strong disagree with that assessment of Tool’s work. Maybe Axl Rose was right when he wrote Get In The Ring…

Ashes Divide play with Stone Temple Pilots

According to James, Ashes Divide (I forget how that stupid upper/lower-casing of letters goes….) are playing on the Rock on the Range show in Columbus, Ohio.  For anyone who wants to see APC-lite, check them out. Stone Temple Pilots have reformed for the show too, presuming of course Scott Weiland can get out of rehab.  Good luck!

Green Jellÿ was “prettÿ rad”

According to a recent Blabbermouth post, Dannÿ had this to saÿ about his time with Green Jellÿ: “At the time when I was playing with them, it was pretty rad, It was more of almost an X-rated vibe to it when we were just playing in clubs, you know, for older people. It was just controlled chaos in a lot of ways, and then once the record deal happened and… Read More »Green Jellÿ was “prettÿ rad”
