Adam posts severed arm

I normally don’t get too carried away posting everything that various members of Tool put on social media, but it’s been a slow day so I’m going to make an exception. A few hours ago Adam tweeted the photo blow, which would appear to be a severed arm. What is interesting to me is the “toolband.com” plastered all over it. Image from the rumoured The Pot video perhaps? Post your… Read More »Adam posts severed arm

Tales from the Loft and leftover Tour Merch

Just a couple of quick updates from Toolband today, where Blair shares with us a photo from the recent Tool songwriting sessions, as well as a hint that there’s more to come: A rare glimpse inside Tool’s storied loft – one of a dozen or so photos recently taken by Adam, Danny, and Justin while writing and arranging their contributions to the next Tool record. (Note: When Adam sent me… Read More »Tales from the Loft and leftover Tour Merch

Adam providing art for new Volto album?

As most of you know by now, Danny’s other band Volto! have recorded a new album, which hopefully should be released soon.  A post on the Volto Facebook page today suggests that someone we know may be helping out with the artwork: artwork direction adam j Not sure exactly what this entails, or if it’s the right Adam, so keep your eye peeled for further info! Speaking of Volto! don’t… Read More »Adam providing art for new Volto album?

Friday Fourtheye Updates

Sorry about the lack of news the last few days.  Those of you active in the forum would know that I’ve been busy migrating the forums from an old bbPress 1 system to a more modern, and hopefully more flexible bbPress 2 system.  There were a fair few headaches involved with this, the migration is now complete, and the new forums can be enjoyed here.  There are still some further… Read More »Friday Fourtheye Updates

Happy Birthday Mr Jones

On this day way back in 1965 the word bore witness to the birth of Adam Thomas Jones, who we all know went onto become the guitar play for Tool, as well as occasional poster creator and movie sculptor.  Adam will be on tour tonight, and who knows if they have any special plans for him on the evening.  Maybe the crowd should break out into happy birthday when the… Read More »Happy Birthday Mr Jones

September 2011 Tool Newsletter

‘][‘ [[]] [[]] ][, posted in the forums this morning at the September Tool newsletter has been released, and low and behold I found it stashed away in the Newsletters section of the site (no sign of it in the News section). The newsletter itself is the usual cryptic type, hinting at a lack of progress in the new Tool album (though there may be a hint of sarcasm there)… Read More »September 2011 Tool Newsletter

Adam Jones plays National Anthem at WWE event?

Dusty sent me an email a few moments ago pointing me to a recent Tweet from WWE suggesting: Here’s Tool’s Adam Jones moments after he crushed the National Anthem at #SummerSlam http://t.co/4FqyAoG No doubt all you sport (and “not quite sport”) haters are considering suicide right now.  Don’t pull the trigger just yet – there will be a new Tool album eventually! Anyone happen to see this on TV or… Read More »Adam Jones plays National Anthem at WWE event?

Tool progress is progressing, Sasquatch spotted!

A couple of marginally interesting Tool items appeared in the last day, the first being a snippet from a recent Maynard interview reported on Blabbermouth: As for the status of the next TOOL album — which Keenan gets asked about in every interview — the singer gave The Pulse Of Radio an update and warned fans not to believe everything they read. "We’re just always writing and it’s just progressing… Read More »Tool progress is progressing, Sasquatch spotted!
