Big Day Out Timetables & Maps

The Big Day Out timetables and maps are now up on the Big Day Out Website.  From the couple I’ve looked at, Tool start at either 9:00 or 8:30 and have been allocated 90 minutes.  Looks as though You Am I seem to be the band playing at the same time as the headline band this year (excluding NZ), which is a shame, because they’re one of the few bands… Read More »Big Day Out Timetables & Maps

BDO Timetable? Maynard in Wine Spectator, Merry ???

I found this post on the Big Day Out forums which shows the timetable for the New Zealand Big Day Out. As expected Tool are the last act to play, and have been allocated 90 minutes (9:00-10:30). Depending on how much time they decide to take in between songs, they should be able to fit in most of their current set. For those waiting at their keyboards to score some… Read More »BDO Timetable? Lucky me….

It looks like I was lucky enough to score a couple of Sydney Big Day Out tickets via the ballot.  One is claimed at the moment, but I have one spare and am looking to swap it for 1 ticket to the Tool show the night before.  If anyone is interested in such a trade, then let me know. If this trade doesn’t happen, and/or a mate of mine up… Read More »Lucky me….

Meetup 2007

See you there…. I perhaps should have added that it’s in Sydney, prior to the Tool show on the 24th of January….

Tool ready for Big Day Out

The Rock Radio have a brief interview with Danny where he talks about touring Australia: I just love touring down in Australia, it’s one of my favorite places. The people are always just so friendly and nice, and really into rock ‘n’ roll too. The weather’s always beautiful down there and the country’s nice also, and it’s one of the places that we haven’t been as much as a lot… Read More »Tool ready for Big Day Out

Final Big Day Out Announcement, Aenima Wanted

The final Big Day Out announcement was made today, and as expected reveals a large number of generally uninteresting bands, most of which seem to be of the Hip Hop and Electronica varieties.  “Highlights” include The Vines, Digital Primte, P-Money Keith Flint (from The Prodigy) and many more listed here.  Personally, I can’t see the new additions make any more Tool fans wanting to rush out and buy tickets.  Still,… Read More »Final Big Day Out Announcement, Aenima Wanted

Melbourne BDO Selling Out, “We’ll be back”

I received a newsletter from the Big Day Out organisers, who tell me that the Melbourne Big Day Out is nearly sold out.  For you Victorians this may be the last opportunity for you to see Tool, as it looks like no other shows will be announced.  Tickets are sold out from stores and are still available only through Ticketmaster and the Big Day Out website. Foamy was lucky enough… Read More »Melbourne BDO Selling Out, “We’ll be back”
