Danny injures himelf (again)

Blair posted on Toolband/Army today an article talking about Danny‘s recent injury. Apparently he was attacked by a Sea Urchin or Scorpion Fish. Lucky it wasn’t a Sting Ray I guess… Anyway, he elaborates to say that he’s had two surgeries on the hand, and that there probably won’t be any Tool or Volto! shows for a little while.

Two Tool Projects

Blair from Toolband/Army took some time today to “clarify” an email he received questioning the April Newsletter – the one about the business meeting. Here’s his response: That mentioned in the April (1) newsletter had NOTHING to do with the all-Tool issue of “Revolver” Magazine, although at this time I am still not able to disclose any further information about any decision made by the band as to whether it’s… Read More »Two Tool Projects

April Newsletter

I don’t remember this being posted on the news page, but it appears that there is an April newsletter Toolband. It’s full of you usual writings you can expect from Blair, but it also briefly talks about a important meeting between the bands management and attourneys, and hints at some kind of unusual decision being mande. What this decision is, well your guess is a good as mine…. Thanks to… Read More »April Newsletter

Isis Holy Tears Single

According to a recent post on Toolband/Army, Isis will shortly be releasing a single for the track Holy Tears from the In The Absence Of Truth album.  The single will contain a live version of track featuring Justin Chancellor recorded at the Continental Airlines Arena. Blair also tells us an anecdote of some of the pranks playing during the joint tour last year: That night when Justin joined Isis on… Read More »Isis Holy Tears Single

March 2008 Newsletter

Blair has released the March 2008 Tool Newsletter today, and it seems to be somewhat interesting for a change with discussions about a new Tool album, Rock band/Guitar Hero, Beach towels and the live DVD.  It doesn’t really give us any new information at all, but at least gives us a vague idea of what we might be able to expect in the future…

December Newsletter

Blair‘s December newsletter is up, and it’s quite possibly the most cryptic one yet. I can’t really make much sense of it, though it does suggest that something may be going on sale on the 17th of January, possibly a live DVD, though I’d say that’s somewhat unlikely. Could also be that there’s another tour happening, going on sale on that date, but I’ve heard no substantial rumours to confirm… Read More »December Newsletter

November Newsletter

Blair’s November Newsletter is now up on Toolband/Army, and talks about some of his adventures on the road with Tool.  He also talks about the soon to be release merchandise (more details in the soon to be posted December Newsletter apparently), and depending on how much you read into these things, some may be inclined to think that some kind of Salival reissue may be happening…

Tool Tour Posters

Blair posted a picture of the customised Tool posters on sale on the current US Tour. I wasn’t able to view the images with Firefox though, I could only see them in IE, so I’ve posted the image below for those who aren’t able to see it. It looks pretty cool, and Adam has done some pretty cool stuff to the original poster. Allegedly these posters cost US$400 each, with… Read More »Tool Tour Posters

Updates

I’ve been back up in Queensland this week, so things have been a little slow on updates for Fourtheye. Things should return to normal next week. Here’s a couple of items that have come across my desk: For those that have missed the various comments, there is an interview of Maynard done by Patton Oswalt. Check it out here. Ryan tells me that he’s selling his Signed Lateralus Vinyl on… Read More »Updates

October Newsletter

Blair posted the October Newsletter today on Toolband/Army.  Not really much to it this month.  In amongst the usual ramblings is the fact that Toolarmy will be offering some special merchandise sometime in the next month or so.  Presumably before Xmas.  Hopefully nothing too expensive this time, cause I’m all outta money…
