Fourtheye Weekly Update 29-Jan-2018

It’s time for another weekly update from our irregular schedule.  I’ve skipped the last few, due to the relative frequency of Tool news lately, with both Adam and Danny indicating in recent weeks that things are happening.  I’m sure you’ve all read that before – let’s wait until they actually confirm hitting the studio before getting too excited. Anyway, in this weeks issue: Justin plays some riffs at NAMM Danny… Read More »Fourtheye Weekly Update 29-Jan-2018

Adam confirms new Tool album is moving towards completion

Adam undertook some more Instagram live streaming yesterday, and while it wasn’t some live cuts from the Loft, it did include a comment that the “Music is done.  Lyrics are coming in hard“.  Great news that the new Tool album seems to be on the home stretch. Danny also spoke with Overdrive about the new Legends of the Seagullmen album, and once more suggested that things were happening in Tool-land:… Read More »Adam confirms new Tool album is moving towards completion

Danny speaks with Kerrang

In a recent interview with Kerrang magazine, Danny Carey spoke about Legends of the Seagullmen as well as a slightly more in depth update on the new Tool album.  There are no particularly insightful revelations, and Danny does joke around with 2018 and 2019 a bit, which suggest to me maybe he’s not super confident of it being this year (though he does go on to reaffirm it will be… Read More »Danny speaks with Kerrang

Another Danny Carey update on new Tool album

There’s another update from Danny Carey in regards to the new Tool album floating around, and this is courtesy of Drum Magazine: “It’s gonna be really good,” he said. “We’re really excited about it. So, it’ll be out some time in 2018.” Good news it seems,… Read More »Another Danny Carey update on new Tool album

Legend of the Seagullmen debut with Primus

The Legend of the Seagullmen, a band featuring Danny Carey, as well as Brent Hinds from Mastodon will play it’s debut show at the Primus NYE Party in San Francisco later this year.  Going by social media posts recently it sounds like they’ve been recording as well, so expect some news on an album sometime eventually. Primus will return to the Fox Theater in Oakland for a Goblin New Years… Read More »Legend of the Seagullmen debut with Primus

Danny confirms that Tool remasters are in the works?

On Reddit the other day some chap called cptsweatpantz decided to start an online petition to get Tool to re-release their albums on vinyl.  A noble suggestion, however was met with the usual cries of “online polls don’t do shit!” – something I agree with despite signing anyway. Lo and behold the creator of the petition receives an email from Danny Carey (screenshot of which is below) in which he… Read More »Danny confirms that Tool remasters are in the works?

John Ziegler’s Stroke Recovery Fund

Sad news this morning in that it appears Volto! and Pigmy Love Circus guitarist John Z has recently suffered from a serious stroke.  My understanding of the US Medical system, is that it’s mostly a joke, so financially John appears to be under much strain.  A Gofundme account has been set up, and I’d encourage those with a few spare dollars to send some his way. John “Johnny Z” Ziegler… Read More »John Ziegler’s Stroke Recovery Fund
