Poll Results: Who could replace Danny?

Last weeks poll was a litle controversial, in that several people couldn’t stomach the though of having anyone else other than Danny drumming to Tool. I’m somewhat in the same boat in that I believe he couldn’t be replaced, but these polls are about “what if” type situations, so I ask for your opinion on who could replace him, not whether or not he could be replaced. Personally, I’m a… Read More »Poll Results: Who could replace Danny?

February Newsletter

Blair has posted a short February newsletter.  For once the contents a very much Tool related, so no bitching please.  Blair goes into detail on how Danny tore his bicep muscle during an altercation with Rynne‘s dog Amos, and there’s even a picture of the cute fella for you to put on your dart boards (presuming you can bear throwing darts at such an adorable dog). Anyway, the good (unofficial)… Read More »February Newsletter

Danny Injury Update

According to a recent post on Blabbermouth, Danny tore his bicep while lifting something at his home.  He is expected to be examined by doctors again this week to determine exactly how long it will take him to recover. They also speculate that Tool may have trouble rescheduling shows due to many arenas sports commitments.  I’m sure that might be a minor inconvenience, but I’m pretty sure these arenas are… Read More »Danny Injury Update

Back from the Dead!

Well, I’m finally back home after the big Sydney Trip. I had planned on posting updates while I was down there, but a lack of time and a decent internet connection prevented me from doing so. Looks like several interesting things happened in the last few days: Blair posted some US Tour dates on Toolband/Army Danny confirmed that some of their shows are being recorded and that they plan to… Read More »Back from the Dead!

Drummers Digest speaks to Danny

Drummers Digest have posted an interview with Danny. Not a bad interview, though it really doesn’t reveal much we don’t already know either: Danny: “The record companies are in trouble, it’s getting harder and harder to sell records. That was why we tried really hard to come up with a cool package that can’t be downloaded, that’s like a piece of art that people want to hold in their hands.… Read More »Drummers Digest speaks to Danny

Tool ready for Big Day Out

The Rock Radio have a brief interview with Danny where he talks about touring Australia: I just love touring down in Australia, it’s one of my favorite places. The people are always just so friendly and nice, and really into rock ‘n’ roll too. The weather’s always beautiful down there and the country’s nice also, and it’s one of the places that we haven’t been as much as a lot… Read More »Tool ready for Big Day Out

Signed Vinyl, Photos, Volto!, Isis

Greasy on Toolarmy today pointed out to us that there’s some more Signed Lateralus Vinyl on Ebay at the moment.  Bidding on this one starts at $300, and as I write this there have been no bids.  Here’s the link. The Tool Hotline woke up from their deep slumber to post a couple of things.  Firstly there’s this gallery of photos from a recent show in France. Secondly they mention… Read More »Signed Vinyl, Photos, Volto!, Isis

DC on the Rock Show, Tool Tickets

Danny Carey and Brann Dailor from Mastodon took over the BBC Rock Show the other night, and it show is currently available for streaming on the website.  Apparently this will only be available for the next week.  Not really an interview as such, more the guys discussing drumming and playing a few tracks.  Here’s what they picked: Mahavishnu Orchestra – ‘Meeting Of The Spirits’ (Sony) Isis – ‘ Holy Tears’… Read More »DC on the Rock Show, Tool Tickets
