Danny Carey

Danny speaks

From a recent post on Blabbermouth, Danny says: TOOL drummer Danny Carey told Launch that while the new music was hard to describe, he thought fans would have no problem recognizing it. “All I can say is you should probably just look at the past TOOL records,” he said. “It’s just kind of the next stage of development. Some of the tunes are pretty heavy on this one. It’s still… Read More »Danny speaks

Justin’s Birthday Pictures

Some pictures from Justin’s Birthday party have been posted on Toolband/Army with TA members getting a few bonus pics, including one of Danny sporting his helmet. For those non-TA members who want to take a look at them, I’m sure if you try hard enough you’ll find someone on the net who’s posted ’em.

100 Greatest Rock Drum Performances

For peole who like arguing over top 100 lists, here’s a list of the Top 100 Greatest Rock Drum Performances by some guy I’ve never heard of. John Bonham’s performance in Moby Dick tops the list, but Danny has a respectable 6 appearances, with Ticks & Leeches take out position 3. Reflection(28) would appear to be Danny’s second best drumming work according to this list, which personally I’d disagree with.… Read More »100 Greatest Rock Drum Performances

Halloween Newsletter

It’s up now. It doesn’t contain much new Tool information to the untrained eye (ie. mine). It does dispell a few myths regarding the recent TA Chat. For those of you who complain that Blair’s newsletters never contain any useful information, then you won’t be swayed by this latest one at all. Personally I like them, so Blair, just in case you’re reading, keep up the good work. And Danny,… Read More »Halloween Newsletter

Jelvins, Melvins, Tomahawk and TMOC

Some non-Tool news for a change. There’s a relatively interesting, if a little short interview with Jello Biafra here, where he talks about his involvement with the Melvins. It boes on to mention that Adam Jones plays on half of the tracks on the new CD Sieg Howdy! Ipecac.com are reporting that the Melvins are releasing a ‘new’ version of Houdini in the near future. Also, Peeping Tom for mid-2006.… Read More »Jelvins, Melvins, Tomahawk and TMOC

No word on whether he actually played or not. Toolarmy members shouldn’t forget about the TA Chat on this Wednesday (Thursday… Read More »Volto and The Chat

Danny’s schedule

Another post from Blair on Toolband, this time relating to Danny’s appearances in the coming weeks. On Wednesday July 27th he’ll be appearing with Scott Kinsey (of Tribal Tech) and Steve Tavaglione (sax and EWI) at the La Ve Lee jazz club in Studio City (12514 Ventura Blvd. 818-980-8158). Sounds interesting. He’ll also be playing with Pigmy Love Circus on the 6th of August, coming straight from the recording studio.… Read More »Danny’s schedule
