Interview

Tool in Relix Magazine

  • Tool

Blair tells us that Tool are in the latest issue of Relix Magazine.  I’ve never heard of this publication before, nor seen it in Australia, so good luck finding it.  You can order an issue online though if you like. No idea what the interview contains, but the cover of the magazine shows Tool getting in the mood for the upcoming Aussie Cricket Season.

Tool Opens Up – Metal Edge Interview

Last night I was in town and was taking a look through the magazine racks in Borders when I found the latest copy of Metal Edge magazine, the one containing the interview by Bryan Reeseman mentioned in yesterday’s post.  Despite the outrageous markup on the magazine due to it being an import, I forked over my hard earned cash so i coudl share some of it with my Fourtheye readers. … Read More »Tool Opens Up – Metal Edge Interview

According to a post on Blabbermouth, there will be seven page Tool interview in the September issue of Metal Edge. It’s the longest interview in the Tool’s history, and celebrates it’s relaunch. Maynard Video Interview

A very brief interview with Maynard has appeared on the NRK Nett-tv website, where he talks about why Tool don’t like having their live shows filmed.  May also indicate why they’re in no hurry to release a Live DVD.

Blair posted a somewhat ominous message to Toolband/Army today.  Not sure whether he’s referring to, but feel free to discuss the possibilities! The band members are scheduled to return home today, and wish to thank all those fans for supporting them on this latest stretch of the “10,000 Days” tour. After a bit of a rest (actually, all of them have various projects to work on during this ‘break’), they… Read More »Closing another page, turning to Puscifer?

Adam in Guitar World

I had a chance to read the recent Guitar World article with Adam Jones, and it’s one of the best Tool articles I’ve read for a while.  It reveals plenty of new info and some insight into Adam’s guitar playing.  Here are some points I know most of you are interested in: The first video for 10,000 Days (presumably Vicarious) will be entirely in CGI has run into some “vicious… Read More »Adam in Guitar World

Justin “I would never be worthy”

Justin speaks to The Detroit News about their upcoming show, and talked about some events that happened around the time he replaced Paul:  “When I joined the band, I got a couple of nasty letters from people who were upset to lose Paul,” says Chancellor, 36, about replacing original bass player Paul D’Amour in 1995.  “I got one written in blood telling me that I would never be worthy. That… Read More »Justin “I would never be worthy”

“Sooner Than Later”

Justin Chancellor had a chat with the Launch Radio Networks the other day and he had this to say: “Honestly, I don’t know,” he said. “We’re in the second year of this tour already and it won’t be long before people have said it’s five years already. If we finish touring by, say, next January or February, once we’ve taken a little time off, it’s almost unavoidable that it’s gonna… Read More »“Sooner Than Later”
