Not sure how long it’s been on the site, but the January Tool Newsletter is now available on Toolband and Toolarmy. It’s really just a bit of a recap of Tool-related news over the last couple of months, confirming that Tool aren’t doing much at the moment, and that Danny, Adam and Justin are all abroad (or have been) and that Maynard is busy with Puscifer and Caduceus stuff.
Blair has released the December 2009 Newsletter. It really just says Merry Xmas from the band. Read into that what you will! Thanks to nxrm for the tip! Also, Meshuggah have released an official trailer to the coming Live DVD Alive: The DVD can be ordered from a range of places, but packages from Nuclear Blast USA can be had with a poster, and either shirt or hoodie.
The November 2009 Tool Newsletter is out, though nothing is mentioned in the news about it. I’ve only vaguely read through it, but it seemed to suggest some things about the Toolarmy downtime, though in the usual Blair fashion rather than what most of you would want to read.
Blair has released the October newsletter (written before the site maintenance so it says) and it contains ten frightening moments encountered while on tour with the band. It’s actually an interesting read, so check it out on Toolband.
Blair has released the September 2010 newsletter, and it contains a mix of Tool and non-Tool news. It largely talks about artists Richard S. Shaver and Stanislav Szukalski, and largely reads as an advertisement for an upcoming exhibition. Adam and Danny are noted to be admirers and collectors of their work. Blair has released the latest Tool newsletter on Toolband/Army. This time around he talks about a recent trip to Area 51 to capture some new footage for Rosetta Stoned. Other than that there’s nothing much there in regards to Tool information. One for Blair fans only.
Blair has posted the May Tool Newsletter up on Toolband (not announced in the news – visit the newsletter page directly). It talks about Mormonism and the upcoming Salt Lake City show, but probably won’t do anything but frustrate those of you with little patience for Blair’s writings.
