Tool News and Reviews

The Toolband.com news seems to be up and running again, this time with a post from Blair telling people that he’s anticipating a great show at the Staples Center in LA tonight.  Does this mean it’ll be great as in the first time they play 10,000 Days?  Who knows.  If you are going to the gig, let us all know what happens. J. Pirro has sent me a link to… Read More »Tool News and Reviews

Mormons Love Tool!

Well maybe not, but Dan Nailen from the Salt Lake Tribune does, and has posted a review of the recent Tool show in Utah.  The review is nothing exciting, but there’s some nice pictures accompanying it.  Enjoy!

Pictures from The Gorge

ojisan_neo from Toolarmy today posted some great pictures from Tool’s recent show at The Gorge near Seattle (I think).  There’s some amazing pictures there of the new set being used for the US Arena tour.  Here’s one: For those wanting to be surprised by the set if/when it reaches Australia, I’d suggest you don’t follow the link….

Guest Reviewer: Panoply

I’ll just go right into it. ‘ Not feeling very artsy right now. ISIS: I wanted to like Isis, I really did, but after giving them the chance I trust they deserved (listening to their first two songs–couldn’t tell you what they were), I found that I just wasn’t into it. It’s hard to feel a band on a spiritual level while their playing live, like Isis want, when you… Read More »Guest Reviewer: Panoply

Followup to San Diego

Here’s an article I read this morning from SignOnSanDiego talking about the events of the recent San Diego concert, during which 15 people were injured. If found the article to be quite interesting, and talks in depth about the responses by the local authorities, and praise for Maynard and the band in how they dealt with the situation. Sadly it seems that some of these injuries are life threatening, so… Read More »Followup to San Diego

Crush in San Diego

According to SignOnSanDiego there was a crush at the Street Scene concert in San Diego last night during the Tool set.  Around 15 people were injured and sent to hospital despite pleas from Maynard for the crowd to take it easy. I don’t think I really have to say this to Fourtheye readers, but if you’re at a Tool gig, show a little decorum and don’t just mindlessly rush the… Read More »Crush in San Diego

Tour Dates, Vicarious Video Update

Blair‘s posted plenty of new tour dates on Toolband, including some East Coast US Dates, and some more European dates. Also confirmed was that Tool will be playing in Athens in December, though the venue is TBA. Apollo has blessed you. There’s been lots of interest in the Vicarious video, and when it would be released. In response to this, Chronographer on Toolarmy posted a link to an interview with… Read More »Tour Dates, Vicarious Video Update

Bizarre in the Bazaar

Blair makes a couple of posts today, including one TA exclusive one about a show in on September the 3rd.  I can’t really follow what’s going on, something about drug busts at the last show.  Lay off the weed Blair! Australia get’s a bit of loving from Blair as well.  He says that while no dates are confirmed at the moment, he says “I wouldn’t worry too much about Tool… Read More »Bizarre in the Bazaar

Staples Center Pre-sale

CorpseGrindeR sent me an email this morning outlining a pre-sale for the Tool show in LA’s Staples Center on the 7th of December.  This sale takes place on Friday the 21st of July, and is on the internet only.  Get in before it’s too late!  It’s a shame Toolarmy hasn’t been as pro-active with their pre-sales, though I’d guess there may be a similar system in place for the upcoming… Read More »Staples Center Pre-sale

Carnarvon Gorge

No real Tool news today, except for Blair mentioning that more US tour dates will be confirmed too.  It also appears that Maynard is mentioning at shows that they’ll be back in Europe in November. For those who are interested, I’ve posted some photos I took of my recent trip to Carnarvon Gorge on Flickr.  While you’re there you may want to check out the TDN Live group which has… Read More »Carnarvon Gorge
