New “Tool” Single

The new “Tool” single, The 81st Chakra is now available. Sounds like Maynard needs to take some Anger Management classes….

Puscifier, Butcher, Vinyl

Ultimate Guitar note that Puscifier appear on the Saw 2 soundtrack, specifically Danny Lohner’s REV 4:20 Mix of “REV 22:20”. For those that don’t know, Puscifier is a band featuring Maynard and Danny Lohner, and if memory serves me correctly, have appeared on other soundtracks in the past (Underworld maybe?). Also on the soundtrack and many nu-metal bands, but also Revolting Cocks. I also forgot the mention that Butcher played… Read More »Puscifier, Butcher, Vinyl

The Axl Rose Story

Some time after the August Newsletter, the part regarding Blairs alleged Xmas with Axl Rose was removed. Who knows why, but in case you’re interested in reading it again, here it is: This was about the time I spent Christmas with Axl Rose. I shit you not. This was a few years ago, I having been invited to the singer’s Malibu home by my friend Chris Pitman (who, at the… Read More »The Axl Rose Story

It’s quiet, too quiet…..

I get the feeling that somethings going to happen soon, some information will be shared, hopefully worthwhile this time. Maybe a Tool Army chat will be announced, as well as some glimpses of what’s happening in the studio. In the meantime, someone on Toolnavy has made the assertion, that according to his uncles drinking buddy from Revolver Magazine, that the next issue will contain some Tool news, including the announcement… Read More »It’s quiet, too quiet…..

Vinyl, Aloke and Daily Grail Updates

Anohter update on Toolband and Toolarmy indicates that: The Autographed Lateralus Vinyl is on it’s way to the printers. Now I’m not an expert on the vinyl printing industry, but I’d suggest that it’d be several weeks before this becomes available. ‘There will be plenty of advance warning’ Blair says (sort of). Aloke Dutta is playing in Norman, Oklahoma on the 19th of August and in Dallas, Texas on the… Read More »Vinyl, Aloke and Daily Grail Updates

Bikini Bandits, More Vinyl

I stumbled upon a Bikini Bandits article, on IGN of all place which very briefly (and pointlessly) mentions A Perfect Circle. If you’re really bored, check it out! Us Toolarmy lads were welocomed by a picture of Adam holding the much requested Lateralus Vinyl. Looking good Adam now GET BACK TO WORK! 😉 Blair sars info on the Autographed copies will be coming soon. Still no idea of when and… Read More »Bikini Bandits, More Vinyl

Aloke + Vinyl Pics

Another day, another new post on Toolband about something other than Tool…… This time it’s about their Tabla playing mate Aloke Dutta, who’s got three shows on in August, the first of which will be in Santa Barbara at the Mercury Lounge. Apparently the other shows will be in Oklahoma and Texas. Yeehaw! For those Laterauls Vinyl lovers, and those that just missed out in the recent sale, heres a… Read More »Aloke + Vinyl Pics

Lateralus Vinyl Sold Out!

It looks like the Lateralus Vinyl has either sold out or been removed from the Tool site. I can assure you all it did appear for a few hours last night, and was still available when I went to bed (about 10:30 Australian EST). It seems to be gone this morning, so if you didn’t get one, I’d imagine you’ve missed out. Just have to wait until it arrives in… Read More »Lateralus Vinyl Sold Out!

Non-Autographed

Well, after much hype, presumtions and server crashes, it looks as though the Lateralus Vinyl is available, both on Toolband and Toolarmy. From what I can see they’re not Autographed, holographically or otherwise, and the cost is US$44.99 + US$16 for postage to Australia. That’s about $81 Australian! I hope the autographed copy is not much more expensive than that!

Smashed

The Toolarmy sites getting smashed at the moment. I sure hope the Administrators were thinking when the let Blair announce that there’s records are on sale. Would be funny if the whole site went down and nothing even goes up for sale! Anyway, surely there’s gotta be a better way, maybe they could have a lottery or some other way to help people secure the vinyl without bringing the whole… Read More »Smashed
