New Kerrang Article

Skeptic on Toolarmy pointed out that the latest issue of Kerrang (UK edition I presume) has a short interview with Tool regarding the new CD. Here’s a few excerpts I liked: …..anyone expecting the shadowy Californian quartet to have gone soft with age willl be sorely disappointed. True to form, Tools upcoming opus is a 77-minute prog-metal odyssey, packed with plenty of eight minute-plus twisted riff-a-thons, odd-tempo polyrhythms and the… Read More »New Kerrang Article

Tool Tour Dates Confirmed?

The recent post on Toolband/Army with the ‘confirmed’ tour dates seems to be growing shorter and shorter. Gone are some dates in Amsterdam and London. There has been no word on why these dates are gone, so for the moment I recommend every out there treat that list as not 100% confirmed, and therefore don’t go planning your life around it. The list as it currently stands is: 5/26 –… Read More »Tool Tour Dates Confirmed?

Download Festival

According to the Download Festival’s website Tool are headlining on the first night, Friday the 9th of June.  From what I understand the Download Festival is held in the UK, and seems to be highly commercialised!  Good to see one of the headliners on the show aren’t old has-beens (I hope…..)

Joshua Davis Update

According to sambarugh on Toolnavy the latest issue of Wired has an article about Joshua Davis and some artwork he did for Adam. Edit: I also managed to get this pic of Toolband from a video floating around with some website details. Thanks to gl0tch for the link to the vid. Edit 2: Moon on Toolnavy has made this website with plenty of Tool related pics from the JD video. … Read More »Joshua Davis Update

Dutch Listening Parties

Rvyers on Toolnavy translated a recent Dutch reporters blog on the recent Tool listening party. No info on the sound of the album due to embargos, but a couple of details regarding the release. Apparently no reviews of the album are to be published before April the 13th, which would suggest Tool would officially confirm the details around this time. It also mentions that no promo CD’s will be available… Read More »Dutch Listening Parties

More dodgy tracklists, Tool in Oz

Lucid Design on Toolnavy reckons that this is the tracklist for the new CD.  The new album will be self-titled he says: – T O O L – [s/t] 01. Symmetrical 02. Inertia 03. Luminesce Kaon 04. Vanity 05. Antediluvian 06. Nevus 07. Paramnesia 08. Hyparxis 09. Mal de Mer 10. Dynasty 11. Release Date Confirmed?

Madklikor from Toolnavy, as well as Fourtheyer Shinji have confirmed that Sony/BMG in France have confirmed the release date of the new Tool album will be the 2nd of May, 2006.  No confirmation of this from Blair or the members of Tool yet, but it looks to me like this might be it.

Super Rock Portugal?

According to a recent modification on Wikipedia, Tool are schedueled to play on the Super Rock Festival in Lisbon, Portugal in late May.  I can’t seem to find anything confirming this so think of it what you will……

Total Rock Review Removed

The review of the new album on Total Rock seems to have been removed at request of the bands management. At least we now have a good idea that it’s legit. There’s plenty of copies of the review hovering around the net (including Toolarmy) for those with search abilities. I didn’t see nothin’ if you didn’t see nothin’.
