Lateralus Vinyl Sold Out!

It looks like the Lateralus Vinyl has either sold out or been removed from the Tool site. I can assure you all it did appear for a few hours last night, and was still available when I went to bed (about 10:30 Australian EST). It seems to be gone this morning, so if you didn’t get one, I’d imagine you’ve missed out. Just have to wait until it arrives in… Read More »Lateralus Vinyl Sold Out!

Non-Autographed

Well, after much hype, presumtions and server crashes, it looks as though the Lateralus Vinyl is available, both on Toolband and Toolarmy. From what I can see they’re not Autographed, holographically or otherwise, and the cost is US$44.99 + US$16 for postage to Australia. That’s about $81 Australian! I hope the autographed copy is not much more expensive than that!

Smashed

The Toolarmy sites getting smashed at the moment. I sure hope the Administrators were thinking when the let Blair announce that there’s records are on sale. Would be funny if the whole site went down and nothing even goes up for sale! Anyway, surely there’s gotta be a better way, maybe they could have a lottery or some other way to help people secure the vinyl without bringing the whole… Read More »Smashed

Vinyl Release Notes

Toolband is reporting the Lateralus Vinyl will be made available on the Tool Websites (Toolband and Toolarmy), and will go one sale Monday August 1 (PST). Presumably this means at midnight, though it doesn’t seem to clarify that at all. That’s 5pm for all us Aussies. He also indicates the Limited Holographically Autographed copies will be made available to Toolarmy members, and more details on when where and how much… Read More »Vinyl Release Notes

New Song Details?

The following image was posted in one of the (many) Toolarmy boards overnight. On further research it appears to come from this page, which seems to be Adams Myspace page. Not too much other information on the new CD there, but plenty of cool older stuff. Well worth checking out. Nice four horn Jacob sheep collection Adam! While you’re at it you may also want to check out Chet Zar’s… Read More »New Song Details?

Vinyl and Firefox Extension Update

There’s a bit more information regarding the Lateralus Vinyl on Toolband. It looks as though it will be released in late August, and apparently autographed copies will be made available in limited numbers to Tool fans, presumably Toolarmy members. These autographs will somehow be etched into the vinyl itself rather than on the sleeve, so expect these to cost extra. You also may remember a few weeks ago I mentioned… Read More »Vinyl and Firefox Extension Update

From the Net

Here’s just a few things I noticed during the surfing over the weekend: HMV UK are taking pre-orders for a Tool release on the 19th of September. No indication on what it actually is. For those with a burning desire to pre-order a mystery Tool product go here. Someone on the alt.music.tool newsgroup posted this link to some photo’s of Maynard and Adam from a concert in Germany. Some very… Read More »From the Net

Danny’s schedule

Another post from Blair on Toolband, this time relating to Danny’s appearances in the coming weeks. On Wednesday July 27th he’ll be appearing with Scott Kinsey (of Tribal Tech) and Steve Tavaglione (sax and EWI) at the La Ve Lee jazz club in Studio City (12514 Ventura Blvd. 818-980-8158). Sounds interesting. He’ll also be playing with Pigmy Love Circus on the 6th of August, coming straight from the recording studio.… Read More »Danny’s schedule

July Newsletter

The July Newsletter is up on Toolband. Is it just me or does it look like Danny’s had a haircut? Not a great deal of Tool news to the casual eye. Mentions Joe several times, which may or may not be Joe Baressi. There’s a picture of a mystery guy in the newsletter, second set down, on the right, which kinda looks like Joe.

Joe’s Sausage

  • Tool

Straight from Toolband: Last Thursday (or maybe it was Friday), a guy named Joe (not Ron!) something or other who is working with the band grilled up some kind of sausages that were described as “excellent.” Does this mean that Tool are indeed working with Joe Barresi, presumably not Ron Barassi, the famous Australia Rules Football player.
