Tool

Myspace Sucks

Myspace sucks, and unfortunately I don’t have the know how to post a link to this, but Mike from Pigmy Love Circus has said on his Myspace site: Tool is recording soon and when they finish we start on our opus and then tweak it out while Tool is on tour this year. So could Tool be touring by the end of the year? Sounds good to me, even though… Read More »Myspace Sucks

Lateralus Vinyl

  • Tool

The prp is reporting that: Tool will reportedly be issuing a vinyl edition of their “Lateralus” album in North America on August 23rd. The outing is said to be a double-vinyl effort on 4 picture discs, packaged in a special plastic gatefold with holographic foil. No official word has been released as of yet however. Too bad for us non-North Americans, not that the idea of Vinyl is that appealing… Read More »Lateralus Vinyl

… – .. – – . – –

It seems as though Blair has finally given us some Tool information on Toolband. Nothing particularly exciting, just more confirmation that everything is going smoothly, and that the band a being delibertaly quiet regarding the recording process, though as soon as they decide to release further info, it’ll appear on the Tool site rather than some random record store. Blair also left some code in the post “… – ..… Read More »… – .. – – . – –

Joshua Davis

  • Tool

I’m sure all of you have noticed the semi-recent update to the splash screen on the Tool site (www.toolband.com), but you may not know who designed it. The man in question is Joshua Davis, and he’s quite a well known Flash designer/artist byt the looks of things. Check out his site at www.joshuadavis.com and make sure you check out the Projects: Web section for some (very brief!) insight into the… Read More »Joshua Davis

Slow News Week

Not much new stuff to post about at the moment, so I’ve done some digging and come up with 3 interesting things: 1. Hidden away in Blair‘s profile on Toolarmy are some posts talking about having a meeting with Tool in the next week, and working on having a new Web-Chat, as well as updating Toolarmy. As usual I’m not getting my hopes up about a Toolarmy update just yet,… Read More »Slow News Week

Tool release date not true!

A posting on Toolarmy has denied the release date advertised in certain Hastings stores in the US. One of the Tool inner circle (Kat to be exact) has denied that the 23rd of August is the release date, and that Toolarmy members will indeed be the first to hear the announcement. Good for us members I guess. For those Toolarmy members out there, feel free to PM/positively Karma me, my… Read More »Tool release date not true!

The Plot Thickens

This was reported on Toolarmy today, and this guy is not the only one claiming to have seen this? So I was wandering around my local music/video/book store, Hastings today, and suddenly I had found myself step directly into the 5th deminsion. What I saw there was most bewildering. While walking by the music information desk, from the corner of my eye, under the “reserve your copy now” poster, it… Read More »The Plot Thickens

www.teleincision.com

www.teleincision.com seems to be going, with a date on it 10-16-05, presumably the 16th of October. Wonder what it could mean……. Looking at the Whois details, it doesn’t appear to be registered to the usual Tool Webmasters, so I’m a little skeptical at the moment to how legitimate it is.

Volto Update

Volto are one of Danny Carey’s side projects, and Toolband.com reports that since Danny is “unavailable” Volto won’t be playing in June, but will be in July. Does this mean Tool will be done recording, etc by the end of June….

Prying Open

About two years ago, I discovered RSS feeds. As simple method of streaming information and news from a correctly set up website. Shortly after that I discovered a Blog, the Living Colour Blog, which outlined the news and events of the band Living Colour. It included an RSS feed, which I find makes life very easy to collect the kind of information I wanted about the band. Today, as I… Read More »Prying Open
