Tool Revisited part 3: Big Day Out 2011 Tour

Just over a year ago, Tool took to the stage for a series of shows in Australia and New Zealand as part of the Big Day Out Festival as well as a brief stopover in Hawaii.   At the time I started writing an article covering the events of the tour, but never got around to publishing it.  Since Tool have just completed a Winter tour of North America, I thought… Read More »Tool Revisited part 3: Big Day Out 2011 Tour

Tool February 2012 Newsletter

Just to keep you all on your toes, Blair has posted the February Tool Newsletter for 2012. It doesn’t contain anything too exciting, but it does contain an apparent answer to the 10,000 Days puzzle. Let the complaining commence! Also, there’s a great photo of Justin!

Tool January Newsletter released

Blair has released the January Newsletter, which you can read in the Newsletters section of Toolband right now.  A quick glance shows no real Tool news, which doesn’t come as a huge surprise to me.  Feel free to comment & discuss the email below! Anyone stuck their tour poster under a UV lamp yet? NOTE THE NEWSLETTER CONTAINS SETLIST SPOILERS

Blair hints at Live DVD

B) Waiting for Arsenal to play?.. C) Trying to contact UFO occupants near the White Mountains?.. Live DVD huh? … Read More »Blair hints at Live DVD

Intronaut Tour Diary part 2

Part 2 of the Intronaut Tour Diary from the Tool Tour 2012 is up, and once again it’s an insightful and humorous read.  Here’s a sample (with a song name censored to protect the unspoilt): 1/18/12 9:00 pm – By the time we hit Tucson, we were pretty sick of Dave being an attention hog rock star jerk. Tonight in Albuquerque, Tool invited Danny [Walker] up to play drums on… Read More »Intronaut Tour Diary part 2

Forget a signed poster, drumstick or head – are you lucky enough to score a Tool signed Orange? Move over signed Lateralus and Salival, you now have a competitor… There’s also an accompanying video (NOTE THE VIDEO DOESN’T HAVE SPOILERS BUT THE RELATED VIDEO TITLES DO!!), which I’m unable to watch at work. Thanks to polarbear_15 for the tip!

Intronaut Tour Diary

Intronaut have been keeping a tour diary of the current Tool Tour, 2012 and have posted some humorous and insightful entries on the LA Weekly website (don’t worry it’s spoiler free): 1/14/12, 1:00 pm – We arrive at Reno Events Center and find a parking spot for our Dodge Sprinter van amidst Tool’s six tour buses and six big rig trucks. This is the first of many hilarious examples of… Read More »Intronaut Tour Diary
