A new post on Toolband/Army tells us that Tool will be touring later this year, but it won’t be in Australia: Although no dates are officially confirmed at this point, it appears that TOOL will be touring the WEST COAST of the USA from mid-NOVEMBER until X-MAS. Dan tells me that Ticketmaster have removed the Tool dates for the Nokia Center in October from their website. Were they ever real in the first place? Is this a vast conspiracy? Time will tell….. Update: A couple of posts from Blair on Toolarmy indicate that he knows nothing about these shows either. How or why they appeared on Ticketmaster’s site is anyones guess.
Looks like the rumours of Tool playing the Nokia Theatre in LA over Halloween (31st of October and the 1st of November) are true. Ticketmaster’s website says tickets go on sale on this Saturday. No word on if these are special shows in anyway, or if they’re part of another tour, but I’m sure Blair will give us the gist of it later this week. Last week Dragonforce’s Herman Li playing with Tool during Lateralus during the August 22nd show at the Brixton Academy. According to Blabbermouth, he had the following to say about Tool: TOOL‘s a unique band. Word is Maynard has recovered sufficiently for Tool to play the Gampal Festival in Switzerland. Thanks to the Tool Hotline!
According to a post on Toolband/Army, Tool have been forced to cancel the upcoming show at the Frequency Festival in Austria. It looks like Maynard has contracted a throat infection and isn’t able to perfrom. No word on if any other dates will be cancelled. Let’s all hope for a speedy recovery for Maynard, and hopefully a minimal disruption for the remainder of the tour!
