Aaron from Isis has posted a whole stack of photos on their website covering the recent tour with Tool. Plenty of good photos, and keep your eyes out for Tool members, “fake” tour buses and Diablo! Thanks to Tommy on Toolarmy for the tip.
Kassel on Toolarmy has posted a link to an article which gives us some more insight into Tool‘s video and lighting show, as well as some of the logistics behind it: It’s hard to explain the depth of what goes into the production at a Tool concert to somebody who is not in our industry. Much like their music, the production is intelligent and progressive—the interplay of video and lighting… Read More »Tool Live Production Details
The second announcement for the Big Day Out was made today, and joining Tool, Muse, etc are whole truckload of generally unexciting (to me anyway) bands. Highlights for me include You Am I, The Butterfly Effect, Afra & the Incredible Beatbox Band, The Streets and The Crystal Method. No one that I’d go out of my way to see, but I feel would put on a good show anyway. One… Read More »Big Day Out Update
I thought I’d just head over to the Ticketmaster website and see how the Tool ticket sales were going, and it looks like the Sydney show no longer has any tickets left. I hope those of you who were looking for tickets were quick enough to get one…
Danny recently spoke to The Rock Radio where he talks about the next North American tour in March-April 2007: “The show in the springtime will definitely be different than the shows that went around this fall in America. Projection ideas will be added and changed, and props and whatnot will all evolve too, I’m sure. You know, it’s just the way our band always works. We work on that kind… Read More »North America Tour 2007
According to Blabbermouth Tool have cancelled their upcoming show in Barcelona due to “logistical” reasons. What do they mean by “logistical”? My guess is either the bands equipment won’t arrive in time, or someone forgot to book the bands First Class airline tickets. Isis will be holding a launch party at the Cha-Cha Lounge in LA on the 30th of October. According to Blair there will be give aways on… Read More »Cancelled Show, Isis
Hi Everyone, the wedding went really well, and thanks to all of you for wishing us well. I’ve got a few quiet days before I head off to the US on holidays. A couple of things came across my desk while I wasn’t paying attention: Ronnie from New Zealand has emailed me a link to the second part of the NZ TV3 interview with Danny and Adam. Haven’t had a… Read More »Update!
Tool have been confirmed for the Big Day Out, as announced in the official press release. Here’s their rather exaggerated and manipulative comment about Tool. BIG DAY OUT 2007 will host the heaviest modern metal experience of all, TOOL. After 15 years of breaking, shaking and earthquaking new musical ground, TOOL topped the charts in 2006 with their latest unique melding of art, prog and metal, 10,000 Days. With an… Read More »Big Day Out announced, Mr and Mrs Hellboy
According to the recent Triple J newsletter, Jay and the Doctor will be announcing the Big Day Out Festival lineup on Wednesday morning. While it’s been more or less established that Tool, Muse and Trivium will be playing, until that lineup is officially confirmed, anything could happen. It also mentions that there’s been a few hoax lineups released recently, so those of you who have read any, especially the one… Read More »Big Day Out Announcement
