Mastodon to join Tool in Europe?

There’s rumours going around on Toolarmy, and also from this link sent to me by Mattias (unfortunately in Italian – translations would be appreciated) which suggest that Mastodon will be the support act for Tool on their European tour.  Personally I love Mastodon, so it sounds like a damn good idea to me, but there’s no real confirmation of this yet. A couple of posts from Blair today, the first… Read More »Mastodon to join Tool in Europe?

Wisconsin Cancelled

According to Toolband/Army the Tool show tonight in Madison, WI has been cancelled again due to illness.  Presumably Maynard is still not 100%.  There’s no indication if there’ll be a make up show in this case either… Isis fans can feel a little better though, since due to the cancellation the guys will be playing at the Beat Kitchen in Chicago tonight (19th September).  Doors open at 9:30pm, and tickets… Read More »Wisconsin Cancelled

Adam explains the Cancellation

Blabbermouth posted an excerpt from an interview Adam did on 99.5 KISS today, where he explains the reason for cancelling the San Antonio show.  As we expected it’s due to Maynard’s illnes: “Oh, I’m really sorry,” Jones said. “It’s horrible, you know. Our singer got sick… Maynard is sick and it’s very unfortunate ’cause, you know, when I get sick or Danny [Carey] or Justin [Chancellor] get sick, we can… Read More »Adam explains the Cancellation

San Antonio Show Cancelled

Lance and Bob both emailed me to let me know that tonights San Antonio at the AT&T Center has been cancelled due to illness. Those who’ve been following reviews of recent Tool shows will know that Maynard has been struggling the last few nights, and as a result the setlists seem to be a little more instrumental than normal. Anyway, hope you get well soon Maynard. TOOL Postpones Tonight’s Engagement… Read More »San Antonio Show Cancelled

Tool News and Reviews

The Toolband.com news seems to be up and running again, this time with a post from Blair telling people that he’s anticipating a great show at the Staples Center in LA tonight.  Does this mean it’ll be great as in the first time they play 10,000 Days?  Who knows.  If you are going to the gig, let us all know what happens. J. Pirro has sent me a link to… Read More »Tool News and Reviews

Sydney Tickets Gone, Logo Design, Uncle Hellboy

The other day Bennet let us know that there were some further tickets for the Tool show in Sydney available only from Martin Place. It seems that some of you were able to get tickets, but it now looks like the ones that were there are gone. Well done for those of you who managed to score. I’m looking at doing some re-designing of Fourtheye in the coming weeks, and… Read More »Sydney Tickets Gone, Logo Design, Uncle Hellboy

Ticket Sales?

Bennet tells me that there may be some Tool tickets left at the Ticketmaster in Martin Place.  Apparently there is/was a sign say so, and a friend of his went in and was able to buy some gold (seated) tickets.  No guarantees there are any left, or if this is legit in the first place, but for those of you who are desperate to see them, it’s worth getting in… Read More »Ticket Sales?

Tickets, 10,000 Days, Meshuggah

A few snippets today. According to several people there are unstantiated rumours going around in street magazines such as Beat saying there will be more ticket sales and/or shows coming up. Nothing to support this yet, but fingers crossed we should see some more action soon. For all those who are hanging out to hear 10,000 Days played on Tool‘s tour, Justin gives us an update in the Mercury News:… Read More »Tickets, 10,000 Days, Meshuggah

Mormons Love Tool!

Well maybe not, but Dan Nailen from the Salt Lake Tribune does, and has posted a review of the recent Tool show in Utah.  The review is nothing exciting, but there’s some nice pictures accompanying it.  Enjoy!

Pictures from The Gorge

ojisan_neo from Toolarmy today posted some great pictures from Tool’s recent show at The Gorge near Seattle (I think).  There’s some amazing pictures there of the new set being used for the US Arena tour.  Here’s one: For those wanting to be surprised by the set if/when it reaches Australia, I’d suggest you don’t follow the link….
