More Tickets and Australia shows?

According to a post from one of the JJJ staff on their forums, more tickets will be going on sale for the Melbourne and Sydney shows.  Expect these releases to be pretty small though, and probably just as chaotic, so while you should get excited and prepared, don’t expect to just waltz in a grab them either… There will also be dates announced in other states. There’s no indication if… Read More »More Tickets and Australia shows?

Guest Reviewer: Panoply

I’ll just go right into it. ‘ Not feeling very artsy right now. ISIS: I wanted to like Isis, I really did, but after giving them the chance I trust they deserved (listening to their first two songs–couldn’t tell you what they were), I found that I just wasn’t into it. It’s hard to feel a band on a spiritual level while their playing live, like Isis want, when you… Read More »Guest Reviewer: Panoply

Ticket Sales in the Herald Sun

Sales of the Tool concerts yesterday have made it into the Herald Sun today.  The article talks about the tickets selling quick and getting up on Ebay.  It also talks about the possibility of more shows.  Personally, I think these extra shows are just the Big Day Out dates, but for the sake of those who missed out, I hope they’re not. Thanks to Nemesis for the link.

Ticket Meltdown

Well, it looks like both shows have sold out, as we expected Melbourne pretty quickly, shortly followed by Sydney at around 10:00am.  1 Hour to sell out ain’t so bad.  Despite blackouts and Murphey trying to prevent me from doing so, I managed to get Sydney tickets, though they’re seated and waaaaaay up the back – but at least I’m in the building. I know there’s plenty of people who missed… Read More »Ticket Meltdown

Danny Confirms Big Day Out

According to many Kiwi’s, Danny confirmed last night that Tool will be playing on the Big Day Out. That’s no surprise to anyone I’m sure. Presumably the official BDO announcement will be made in the coming weeks. Part 2 of the interview will apparently show some more detail into the hobbies of the various members. Maybe someone will Youtube it. Looks like Ticketmaster won’t be having a Pre-sale for the… Read More »Danny Confirms Big Day Out

Sydney Update

Just a little confirmation on details for the Sydney Tool show on the 24th of January.  Prices are $115 for Gold tickets, which is General Admission, and $90 for Silver, which are the seats at the back.  GA will be my goal but anywhere in the building will be good enough for me. I signed up to the Ticketmaster website online the other day, and got an email with details… Read More »Sydney Update

Tour Press Release

For those interested, here’s a copy of the Press Release for the announced Tool Australian Tour in 2007: https://www.fourtheye.net/download/Tool_2006.pdf Edit: The PDF file seems to be buggered for some reason, so here’s a picture instead.  CSS file seems back to normal somewhat know as well.  Might do some more tweaking over the weekend.  Anyone with layout/cpolour scheme suggestions, feel free to let me know, as it’s about time for a… Read More »Tour Press Release

Australian Tour

Triple J finally got around to announcing, that Tool will be playing: Sydney 24th January, 2007 Melbourne 31st January, 2007 Dates in NZ, Queensland, Adelaide and Perth to be announced. Tickets go on sale later this month (the 25th of August according to the website the other day). Several hints regarding the Big Day Out were dropped, so I think it’s safe to say Tool will be the headling act… Read More »Australian Tour

What’s not on the tour

Blair makes another Toolarmy exclusive post today outlining several things that will not be appearing on tour. Those wanting to see Danny in a spinning Motley Crue style drumkit will be dissappointed. Personally I’d like to see: Some form of UFO and/or kettle. The ToolIsisBigBand. With subsequent release on Ipecac Adam, Justin, Danny and Maynard in different spots on the stage. Third Eye, just because I’ve never seen it live.… Read More »What’s not on the tour
