According to many Kiwi’s, Danny confirmed last night that Tool will be playing on the Big Day Out. That’s no surprise to anyone I’m sure. Presumably the official BDO announcement will be made in the coming weeks. Part 2 of the interview will apparently show some more detail into the hobbies of the various members. Maybe someone will Youtube it. Looks like Ticketmaster won’t be having a Pre-sale for the… Read More »Danny Confirms Big Day Out
Just a little confirmation on details for the Sydney Tool show on the 24th of January. Prices are $115 for Gold tickets, which is General Admission, and $90 for Silver, which are the seats at the back. GA will be my goal but anywhere in the building will be good enough for me. I signed up to the Ticketmaster website online the other day, and got an email with details… Read More »Sydney Update
For those interested, here’s a copy of the Press Release for the announced Tool Australian Tour in 2007: https://www.fourtheye.net/download/Tool_2006.pdf Edit: The PDF file seems to be buggered for some reason, so here’s a picture instead. CSS file seems back to normal somewhat know as well. Might do some more tweaking over the weekend. Anyone with layout/cpolour scheme suggestions, feel free to let me know, as it’s about time for a… Read More »Tour Press Release
Triple J finally got around to announcing, that Tool will be playing: Sydney 24th January, 2007 Melbourne 31st January, 2007 Dates in NZ, Queensland, Adelaide and Perth to be announced. Tickets go on sale later this month (the 25th of August according to the website the other day). Several hints regarding the Big Day Out were dropped, so I think it’s safe to say Tool will be the headling act… Read More »Australian Tour
Blair makes another Toolarmy exclusive post today outlining several things that will not be appearing on tour. Those wanting to see Danny in a spinning Motley Crue style drumkit will be dissappointed. Personally I’d like to see: Some form of UFO and/or kettle. The ToolIsisBigBand. With subsequent release on Ipecac Adam, Justin, Danny and Maynard in different spots on the stage. Third Eye, just because I’ve never seen it live.… Read More »What’s not on the tour
This year, my nomination goes to James, who found this link: http://www.ticketmaster.com.au/search/search.asp?type=EVENT&search=tool For those who can’t be bothered reading, tickets go on sale soon for a show in Melbourne at the Myer Music Bowl on the 31st of January 2007. Looks like a Big Day Out sideshow to me…. Edit: The date has since been removed from the site. A glimpse of what’s to come, or a genuine mistake? Edit… Read More »Australian of the Year Nomination
Here’s an article I read this morning from SignOnSanDiego talking about the events of the recent San Diego concert, during which 15 people were injured. If found the article to be quite interesting, and talks in depth about the responses by the local authorities, and praise for Maynard and the band in how they dealt with the situation. Sadly it seems that some of these injuries are life threatening, so… Read More »Followup to San Diego
Blair made a couple of posts today, one a Toolarmy exclusive which talk about the upcoming arena tour. Firstly he suggests that Tool will be visiting the southern parts of the US not already mentioned, though this may not be until they get back from Europe/Australia. I guess this means Tool down under immediately afther the Euro tour winds up in December? Not too surprising i suppose, and a source… Read More »Tour Rumours
According to SignOnSanDiego there was a crush at the Street Scene concert in San Diego last night during the Tool set. Around 15 people were injured and sent to hospital despite pleas from Maynard for the crowd to take it easy. I don’t think I really have to say this to Fourtheye readers, but if you’re at a Tool gig, show a little decorum and don’t just mindlessly rush the… Read More »Crush in San Diego
