I think it’s unlikely that any more date will be added to the tour! Sources tell me not to expect any more shows in the “Westâ€. However Coachella rumours persist and may explain the lack of California shows – this didn’t happen!
Intronaut are mentioned as the support act for the Toronto gig, and they’re expected to support for the first half of the tour. Yob have mentioned that they are supporting for the second half starting in Boston.

I wonder what kind of “surprises” are in store for the setlist… APC recently previewed By & Down live, maybe Tool will follow suit if they have a new song ready in time… unlikely, but I guess it’s a possibility. Â
Dallas, TX (Jan 20, Verizon Theater) (Confirmed by local radio station)
Toledo, OH (Jan 24, Huntington Center)
Duluth, GA (Feb 8, Gwinnett Arena) (Confirmed by local radio station)
You maybe should add these too.
Fuck yeah!!!!!!!
Toledo in January!!
That’s January dear. 😉 Jan 24th.
My edit didn’t work just woke up… In a state of panic at the moment
They must have one song done by now. Has it not been a year and a half now?
I said now twice.
Edit: Three times
Panic or excitement?!
A bit of both, happens every time they announce a tour. First thoughts are awesome another tour, then I start to think about getting the time off of work and trying to get great seats. But yes I am super stoked bu this news!!
^ Damn Lach, your thought pattern sounds exactly like mine! lol
Normally time off would not be a problem, but I am opening a new store in mid January and will basically be living there for a few weeks. Hopefully I will be able to plan my days off around this mini tour.
why no NY? NY is a definately a market where TOOL will sell out, and they can also charge more money per ticket cuz New Yorkers will pay!
“Word is that these dates will be the first ones on the tour, and that there should be some setlist “surprisesâ€â€¦” ~Hellboy
Would you care to elaborate on the “suprises?” That is exceptionally good to hear, along with the possibility of a Chicago show!
Maynard cant even sing the end of vicarious, a song off their latest album…highly unlikely he’ll be able to sing the older songs he sang when his voice was pristine
Bay Area show, purty pleaze?
I hope Hellboy does not divulge, then they would not be surprises! I, for one, am going to be vigilant about staying away from the spoilers. Last year was so much fun at the New Orleans show not knowing what to expect..and we were not disappointed.
^ I’m with you Kat… no spoilers for me!!
^ That’s so much easier when your shows are on the front end… Once they are a few shows in, the cat is out of the bag and a motherfucker to get back in there…
@Kat-I totally agree, Loved them opening with Ænima and closing with Stinkfist in Hawaii!
If I get rich quick, I’d go to lalaland to see em but this is doubtful. The only spoiler I’d like to know if I don’t go is new material, maybe the pot video. Here’s to hoping that 2012 starts off well for everybody!
which is why we have individual show threads and such wonderful admins to keep the spoilers at bay. 8~}
I’ve always wondered why he doesn’t just sing that last part clean. It sounded okay when he did it at the start of this year with the megaphone-effect. For exaaampleeee:

.)
hope i can make it to toledo w/ the wife for her 1st. TOOL show. 😉
I can’t elaborate because I don’t know, but I’ve been told there will be. I expect the surprises are of the setlist variety.
that’s not entirely true… he absolutely nailed that part at the melbourne BDO last year
Tickets on sale Friday.
YES!
My fingers are crossed for you guys!!!
I thought the reason Maynard left the last part out was not due to the fact he couldn’t sing it, but the irony of the crowd singing it back to him.
Crowd – Vicariously I, live while the whole world dies
Nay Nay – Much better you than I
Kinda obvious
Unconfirmed but Philly radio wmmr just announced tool in Camden!!!Jan 29th!!!

Ugh, listening to shitty pop rock waiting for them to give away tickets.
are they giving tix away already?
Reno is anyways, tonight they’re giving out “the first pair”.
Sign me up for the Toledo show. I’m there.
According to someone on Phish.net there may be a Boston show on the 28th. http://forum.phish.net/?thread=1323480494
The post is from three days ago, before anything outside of the West was confirmed/speculated, and now there’s a New Jersey show the next day… possibly true?
I’ve heard from a reasonably reliable source that there will be a Toronto show…

Nope, and normally the last 20% of anything takes the longest time…
This would be amazing.
